Merry X-Mas - Borghe gets his third PSP game

well, second that I am actually interested in playing (yes, MGA slight).

My brother picked up Armored Core for me. Have played two missions so far. Well, actually played MANY missions over and over, but finally beat two missions.

Graphics are OMFGICBLTIP* good. Gameplay (AI mode so far) is pretty decent. Overall enjoying it. Will get a little further into it and see how well it holds up.

First time the system has been powered up in like 6 months (or more). Though I had to upgrade to 2.0 to play it. Should I just upgrade to 2.6?

* OMFG I Can't Believe This Is Portable

that's the same feeling I got when I started playing GTA LCS

PSP is awesome awesome is PSP

for those who are usually too annoyed with me in PSP threads to have seen, my first two were at launch.. Lumines (my favorite puzzler for the most part just barely edging out Meteos) and MGA (which I currently use to manually remove hemroids when they popup).

Good choice on Lumines, but not so much on MGA. Why didn't you get Ridge Racer?

because I never liked the Ridge Racer games.. more of a GT/Forza guy. Also played Wipeout too much over the years to be interested i nanother one.. though after playing the goddom that is Mario Kart, if Wipeout is the best ever in the series I might give it another try.

Mostly though just want some damn good RPGs on the system. That is the one area where the PSP could own the DS if they ever released some nice looking fun to play RPGs. :(

Completly agreed Borghe.

This system is begging for RPGs!

It's getting some nice one's in JP soon which have a chance of coming out here.

If they do, then perhaps I'll turn on my PSP for games instead of movies/music like I am now.

...and before you're like "Tabris has the same opinions as me", I think the DS is trash too.

Only good handheld right now is GBASP.

CURRENT PSP RPGs:

-Kingdom Paradise
-Legend Of Heroes
-Popolocrois
-X-Men Legends 2
-Untold Legends

Something better than nothing..

Congrats, borghe, on enjoying exactly the type of game you claimed was the reason you didn't much like the PSP all this time.

My god man.. you are reaching with no goal in sight here. I love strategy games.. I love card games (PSOIII and YuGiOh being perfectly standard card fair that I LOVE) I said I didn't like MGA. To compare MGA to AC is just silly. The games have even less in common than PD/LK//MGA.

And for the record, last night I put MGA in to give it another go around. Still sucks.

while Legends 2 is decent, and Untold is decent according to most, hardly the type of RPGs myself or others are referring to. The rest I have heard nothing but legendarily bad things about.

BOF3 I've already played. Y's definitely, Monster Hunter possibly (didn't like the PS2 version). Tales of Eternia definitely, Untol 2 again, not in the same category IMHO. There is also Valkyrie Profile and one other big one that seems to be missing. IIRC.

Suikoden 1+2 is all I care about.

That game in portable goodness would be beyond anything I could ever hope for.

The goal is plain, you just guessed wrong - it has nothing to do with MGA, it has do with one of your other stated complaints about PSP software. :)
