After changing up the play with Metal Slug Advance, SNK is turning to the classics and releasing Metal Slug 1 on GBA. This conversion of the SNK classic will not be released until this Winter, so it may depend on how much momentum the GBA carries now that DS is here, but SNK is eager to see more Metal Slug titles released for the handheld. That said, the oldie original is a goodie -- it is unknown if multiplayer will be added to this new GBA mission, but the gameplay of the original and the mission structure on this edition should make for another Metal Slug collectible.

Strange... why bother? I'd rather what's going on with KOF A or SNK Vs Capcom..... gimme Card Fighters Clash Advance guys!

I want MS 1/2/3 on PSP in one nice collection. Man that would rock, the MS series would be arcade perfect on the PSP and the nice wide screen would be awesome of a shooter like this. SNK get crackin' now!

Indeed, Neo ports would work amazingly on PSP and SNK likely wouldn't have to fear rebuffing from SCEA product approval as much (yet anyway). Honestly I'm not sure GBA can pull off a 100% port of MS1 even... hopefully it's bumped to DS instead.

I agree, make it for DS. That or make a compilation of 1/2/X/3 and put it out for PS2 and Xbox.

I was pretty impressed with how good Metal Slug Advance was. I think MS1 wouldn't be perfect for GBA but it would be a damn good port. Same goes for the other ones since they share a lot of the same sprites.
