Meh game. Meh.

the first metroid prime was much better imo. something about MP2 didn't click with me. probably the light/dark worlds

Same here. I think that what turned me off is not only the light/dark world but also the uninspired and generic "gray alien" envirronnement like i call them.

I picked up this deal as well. Talk about an awesome deal, since the game is still $60 most everywhere else in Canada. I'm enjoying it.

People criticizing the dark world...check.

People saying it wasn't as good as the first game...check.

New revelations...uh oh...

still waiting for it to drop to $19.99. shouldn't be too much longer. didn't take that long for the first one to drop to that price...

Damn you people are tight. Is it really worth waiting a few more months (and stomaching that hideous Player's Choice packaging) just so you can save $10?

It's a good game guys.

Not as polished as the original Metroid Prime, but if you love the universe - you will enjoy Echoes thoroughly.

The multiplayer is hit and miss. Some people love it. Some people hate it.

It is as shallow as they make it out to be, though.

when you have a backlog, yes

and speaking of being up tight, who cares if it's a players choice package

Multiplayer felt like a "space goldeneye" to me.

I'll buy when it hits 20. The first one was great, but not appealing enough for me to finish. I recently bought Zelda FSA and Viewtiful Joe 2 for cheap, so I'm slowly cleaning out what's left of my Cube "to get" list.

I'd actually like to think of it as this:

1) Spawn, collect Powerups, find enemies
2) Lock-on, Fight with enemies, run/roll away when weak (or don't)
3) Repeat

The gameplay is designed for anyone to pick-up and play. Sadly, there's not much strategy and depth to it at all.
