Mexican food

Tamales with chicken, green beans and carrot. Shit's good.

I make a classic Guac for parties. Dont give me any of that guac with tomatoes shit, dont put any weird flavors or infusions. Just avocados, red onoins, salt, cilantro, jalapeno, garlic, lemon juice and lime juice.

And it's authentic too!

Go to your library and pick out the biggest mexican cook book they have that isn't full of pictures. It will have all the staples plus more eclectic stuff, and will teach you how to do the hard parts well.

imho you can't beat a good traditional chile con carne.

very simple ingredients and cooking method.

Fry up diced onions, bell peppers and cellery in a pan with a little oil and salt. Add a bunch of chipotle chilli paste, paprika and cumin. Add beef and cook until fully brown. Add chopped tomatoes and a smidge of concentrated tomato paste and let the whole thing simmer for 45 mins on low-medium heat.

Then just add some boiled rice, cheese and guac for a side.

I've never had ramen but that's neither here nor there I suppose
What better time to start?

I make great enchiladas. I use this recipe and have modified it slightly over the years for taste but these are the best

Home-made tortilla will add to whatever dish you make. 1.5 cups of water for every 2 cups corn flower. Dash of salt to your tastes. Knead then form dough into little balls. Flatten little balls by squishing them between something heavy (I use cookbooks covered in plastic wrap). Fry on a non-stick plan and you're good.

To be honest depending on where he lives this is not as easy as you make it out to be.

Also possibly they don't have the best quality options. I know on the podcast Trash Taste the guys (who all live in Japan) say while most restaurants and food options in Japan are awesome, for some reason they can't find a good Mexican restaurant there. Like Japan has them, but at least the TT guys think they're pretty underwhelming compared to Mexican food served in other countries.

Gf family is Mexican, have Mexican every other day. It's always good, but find a place that does those in the video, if you like it.

Go to a Mexican restaurant that speaks little to no English and prepare to be blown away, bonus points if there's a big screen with soccer on.

Most Mexican tacos are not crunchy. So you don't like different textures in your food? Weird kink guy. No judgement tho
Tacos aren't supposed to be crunchy, that's not mexican food.
I'm one of those people who believes there's a time and a place for crunch, a prime example being potato chips. On the whole I'm a chew kind of guy. I've only been exposed to tacos in the form of Old El Paso taco kits at the local supermarket, plus I once watched a video of fitness Youtubers Hodgetwins doing a taco challenge.

These are things you can remedy right now! Go, man! Get a carne asada burrito.
Mexican food isn't too common where I'm from, it's not like burrito trucks are parked on the street. Besides I can't eat them, have a medical condition.
You've never had Mexican food? Are you 9?
Did you ever concede that I might be a racist and dislike those Mexican greasebags and their oily cuisine? Did you ese?

Joking obviously, I would love to try Mexican food and visit the country to see Day of the Dead festival.

Old El paso hard shell tacos and taco bell are not Mexican food
