One of the reasons I couldn't get on with the game. So obviously developers writing a country and a culture they're not familiar enough with.

Cyberpunk walks a thin line between serious noir and caricature/stereotype, it often works but Jackie is just way over the top.

Probably not one Mexican in the development team.
Apparently they're a Columbian dev. I can't find much about them besides the fact that they were acquired recently by publisher Amber. Now, while Columbia isn't Mexico, I think it's probably not quite the white-washing exploitation piece that the trailer seems to promote. I'd fault the trailer for going this route of tongue-in-cheek intentionally bad pronunciation of Spanish, but I don't know.... the game just looks dull and clunky. They didn't have much to work with.

It could have been good, exciting and funny, like My Friend Pedro or something, but it looks pretty generic and uninspired after all. Pick any classic (or even not so classic as you may have played through those already I guess) beat 'em up/hack and slash and they're simply way better on all fronts.

Everything about it seems right up my alley, but I'm done with rogue likes forever, no exceptions. I'm too busy to waste time on games in which all my progress could go up in smoke due to one mistake. Game looks cool though.
