At 4:02. It looks fun based on the video and especially the new camouflage changing. They say that the landscape of multiplayer games has changed a lot since days of Metal Gear Online. I wonder what that means for the new mode? I never got to play the original MGO so its a bit disappointing that we aren't getting it.

It isn't standard MGO huh? Hmm. On one hand that makes sense because mgo was always niche, but at the same time mgo in 5 tried to be more "modern and mainstream" for its design approach and it was the worst of the bunch.

Think it will die off quickly sadly, judging by the vid and its name it looks like a 1 v However many, really wish it was just MGO…Still it looks intriguing, and Snake vs Monkey returning is great, seems like it'll be a good package.
Dickish though that the Gradius Origins trailer had a 'Thank you to the original staff' but fuck all like that for the original MGS3 devs….

I'll give them the benefit of the doubt but they could've just included this and classic MGO style gameplay. So I went from being really hyped about it to now skeptical that it will be as good.

The original staff is credited in the opening cutscene and end credits. Also Yuji Korekado has been working on the series since MGS2.

They dropped the ball here, just remake MGO2: one of the most beloved ones that probably got caught in the terrible launch of the PS3. Just some balances here and there and you have it!

This will probably be "This player is the FOX unit, he will have all the weapons and cool gadgets. Go and search him", it would be meh.

MGO2 had a tiny niche player base who stuck with it for years. People overstate it's popularity.

And I don't think they expect this online version to be a mainstream hit. It's just for the fans to have a bit of fun online and give some extra satisfaction.

MGO 2 loyalist, tons of moments on "survival mode" (tournament game battles style on a Wednesday every week) the DLC (gene expansion) were a treasure, I really enjoyed MGO2 in high school.
