It's on Amazon.co.uk and Play.com since today, looks final to me. Mixed feelings, though.

Glad I imported the US version.
 
It's on Konami's european site as well now, so couldn't be less official. I hoped for something better, though. Looks empty and that bar... :\
 
The cover is great but the original pic has The Boss next to him...having it cropped looks weird after seeing the original

Some of us living in Europe have been avoiding every single MGS3 thread that relates to the American and Japanese release of this game. In this thread about the European release, thanks for ruining a major aspect of the story.

God butchering a wonderful piece of Shinkawa artwork like that should be punishable by castration without painkillers. Honestly i know that MGS3 will be coming out in PAL in some boxset, but seriously thats worse than the US cover when i think of it. I love the art work and all of the japanese box, but if your gonna cut off the force that drives this story off the cover, then might as well just show snake in the jungle, not by himself. But thats just my thought.

I find this argument over the box art pointless really. I actually care more about what EXTRA CONTENT Konami is going to include in the PAL release for MGS3 than some silly box art - once I have my games, the box art .. i don't tend to look at them again.

We've known it was Big Boss every since they showed the character and said it takes place in the 60s. Anyone that doesn't know that probably also doesn't know that there's jungle in the game.

The art is cool, but the design of the box is blah. I like the US box better, though the Japanese one looks best.

What?!? Wholy fuck, I'm getting this game for X-mass (like a lot of people) and I've been good at not ruining anything for myself.....
 
Might as well write santa back now and tell him you want something else becuase thats the big revelation in the story. That and Ocelot is his brother.
 
A simple apology would've worked (or a *spoilers* edit on the origional post), but that's a lot to ask for on GAF ...
Would've been nice to have had that info presented to me while playing the game.

I get the feeling I would've been banned for giving out that spoiler.

Oh well, I'm done bitching ... I'll play it when I finish everything else.
 
There are signs that its from the 60's from the start screen. If you know who Big Boss is and his relation to Snake in MGS1 then if you had two nurons you should be able to peice together that Snake in MGS3 is Big Boss.

This has to be a joke.
The first trailer showed him eyeless and also with the patch I believe. The next one showed the ENDING OF THE GAME WHEN HE SALUTES.
How is this a spoiler? If you did not watch any of the trailers, fine, but you certainly should have the willpower to avoid any thread relating to it.
