MGS4 Limited Edition bundle...so who bought it?

Dark Fact

Now that MGS4 is a week old, and it seems like most people bought the 80gb Standard bundle I thought I would check in at Konami.com to see if they sold out of the Limited Edition bundle, which I assumed they would, cause there was supposed to be only 10k made of the LE Bundle right?

However, on Konami.com's site they are still taking orders, and will ship in 1-2 days! Although severely over priced, the bundle DOES include the LE version of the game, tho obviously falls ridiculously short by offering the 40gb model, making it impossible to play that MGS Collection you know you picked up for PS2 :P

Sooo...fess up, who has 'um!

I bought the JP Limited Edition Bundle and I'm pretty happy with my purchase. The console looks cool and the box art and case for the JP Limited Edition of the game is cool.

Is there any chance that the Essential Collection will ever come to PAL land?

....though I haven't actually played it yet as i'm currently on a business trip and won't be home until Jun30th . My wife took this photo to send to me and show me that the system got to our house alright

She's says "it's gorgeous!"

I was just thinking, what exactly is on the bonus disc? Only the regular edition is available over here, so that's what I got. I wonder if the content has been ripped. :P

The bonus disc has a kojima interview, some behind the scenes stuff, and has all the Logan videos, all in HD.

My dad needs a blu-ray player ever since I got him a sound system and he needs to upgrade to HD, so I'm thinking about getting one for him, it's kind of an expensive gift though.

Blu-ray disc with making off stuff and other special features.

I bought one and have to say I'm really liking my PS3 quite a bit. I am still somewhat disappointed the "normal" MGS bundle got the 80 gig with bc while the limited edition was a 40 gig with no bc. I really like the color of the console though, it looks a lot better than the glossy black regular PS3 and doesn't attract finger prints as easily.

Got the US/NTSC one.

probably gonna sell my jp 60gb to recover the cost.
The reverse operation of the X and O button on japan models annoys the shit out of me.

Hardly costs $30 - $50 to upgrade?

YOU TOO, IMMORTAL!!

im sure they care more about Backwards compatibility not so much the 50gigs of space. i woulda bought one too if it was backwards compatible.

got it. i was surprised with how good it looks in person, i wasn't expecting much when i saw the pics.

First thing I did was remove the 40g and slap in a 160g.

I got lucky because they were selling them at the Kojima signing at Times Square. Got it and a few other games signed (including the limited ed. MGS4). I love that It barely gets fingerprints on it, but the lack of PS2 emulation really turns me off. I'll eventually get a regular one, but that won't be for a long while.

I picked one of these up on the Web site, as well. Did any of you get an ethernet cable? Mine didn't have one, even though it shows it on the box. Called Sony, and first they said '40 gig doesn't have a cable,' but the dude actually checked into it and they are now sending me one.

Great for watching movies. So darn quiet.

"And I even love the color!"

And that's really cool, Verboten.

Oh cool, ha, I actually thought I lost the ethernet cable in all of my precise panic while taking it out of the box. If I'd gotten the 80 gig, I'd have asked for Kojima to put a giant hand-print on it. Then I'd go home and figure out a way to make it permanent! Still though, is there any plans in the future to make this compatible with PS2s? :(
