-Anything of any real note for PSP
-An overbearingly cocky quote from Kaz
-Reggie's attitude
-Miyamoto cosplay
-Interviews with Itagaki that contains comments that spawn threads that swell to twenty pages in an hour
-Conferences culminating with someone doing an epic reveal of release date or release price tattoos on their person
 
Maybe the developers just lost a bunch of the games they were going to show. Or can't find them. Duke Nuken Forever is probably under someone's couch. *looks under couch* Uh oh...

I think Tecmo has got some really cool stuff this year. People may not be too enthralled with DOA4 but a new Fatal Frame and a new Deception (Trapt has got to go. Worst title evAr.) have got me drooling. Is it bad that I am buying an Xbox 360 this fall but all the games that have impressed me this E3 have been for the PS2?

Nu uh!! Especially considering I was hoping it would be a Tetris Attack port to DS with online multiplayer. Am cry.

thanks johnjohnson i just got back from work and downloaded a multiplayer video of starcraft ghost............

What happened? it looks like it's regested in terms of art and animation.
at lest it looks like you can play it now.
Did Swinging Ape dump all the stuff that was done before, because they thought they could do better.

There's a lot of PC stuff missing, I was hoping for some new Bioware stuff. There's also no Mario 128 and FF12 didn't make it. Outside of Zelda, most of the exciting games I was looking forward to are not there or barely there at all. The only pleasant surprises are some of the DS games like Boy and his Blob. I hope to get more info and media from King Kong.
 
Bioware's absence is the only that one that disappointment. I hope developers don't start turning away from E3 in larger numbers.

Other than that, a little Too Human would have been nice plus more from Lucas Arts and Factor 5 could have made for fun news.

Rumor has it that Bioware is starting up a game on the PS3.

In terms of its Canadian connection, BioWare was at the press conference. It seems as though the Edmonton based developer will be starting a PlayStation 3 game in the coming weeks. So far BioWare has only made games for the PC and Xbox and has never made a game for any Sony gaming platform, but that is going to change. Details on what the game will focus on are not being discussed for the moment.

Just a thought here (that will no doubt get shot down in flames) but is it possible that a lot of publishers/developers (especially the Japanese ones) were holding some of their bigger stuff back knowing that next-gen stuff would be taking most of the headlines this E3?

I guess it'll depend, but if we start to see a lot of smaller, individual game unveilings then I'd say it might be likely. I'm sure I saw mention of an FFXII event/thingy for the end of June. Was that officially confirmed or just rumoured?
 
Well, the general (unfortunate) trend at E3 is to do a lot of private screenings. A lot of stuff listed in this thread was shown, just not on the floor.

They should just split the show into private/public days IMO. It's kind of ridiculous.

Yeah Shenmue III :( Non playable Madden 360, hell 360 sports games in general. Nintendo as a whole...real-time demos...
