Glad I don't live in NJ. =)

Quoting this, because it's so rare in our increasingly relativisitic world that such clear and pure truth exists. Regardless of the context it is placed in, the above words ring true and should be a guiding light and sound advice for us all.

I thought for years that the official state motto of New Jersey should be "What Died?", stuff like this just reinforces it.

I think the Bubonic plague should be worried about being unleashed in New Jersey rather than the reverse. And maybe they shouldn't have hired that new research assistant.

Just because you've seen Newark/Camden/Paterson/Trenton/non-boardwalk Atlantic City doesn't mean the whole state is like that.

:D

Actually, I'm not sure I've ever been to New Jersey but as a nonenlightened Southern curmudgeon it's my responsibility to take tired stereotypes and turn them into things I find funny.

I'd actually like to bird Cape May one day. +1 NJ.

QFT

having grown up in the toms river/seaside heights area, and the moving out to IL, i'm amazed at the perceptions of NJ out here...

For the record, i dont have a perception of NJ at all, in fact i only have a rough idea of where it actually is. I would have made the same joke no matter where they were released...examples

In NJ? That poor deadly disease!

In California? That poor deadly disease!

In Buckingham Palace? That poor deadly disease!

In the space between G.W Bush' Ears? That poor deadly disease!

etc.

Truth.

Anyway, I've got some friends that work and/or study in hospitals and research places in Newark. I'll have to give them a ring and tell them to avoid rats, and then enjoy their reactions.

Avoid rats in NJ? You might as well just say "leave town".
