Microsoft Studios team hit with layoffs in restructuring

While Microsoft may have named a new leader of its Xbox gaming division this week, other members of that team got word on Wednesday they won't be working at the company anymore. At least two now ex-employees have posted word online they were laid off from Microsoft Studios in Redmond.

One of the people affected by the changes was artist Patrick Loughman who posted word on his Twitter page his position was eliminated Wednesday:

A technical producer at Microsoft Studios, Elbert Perez, revealed he was laid off Wednesday, but used his Twitter message to promote a new game he is working on that's seeking funding via Kickstarter:

So because the others are laying off staff Nintendo has to do the same?Is not enough for them to be thrown to the mud because they don't follow the others regarding their products, but now they also have to follow them in regarding to their internal lay offs? really?

You got all this from a GIF?
This just means there is also a (very) good side about being a different company.

I dont think he meant it in that way, nintendo gets by without laying off anybody and isnt in a position where they have to, infact hiring more people would be the better thing to do.

I've been having to say it's a joke too often in the last 24 hours. Anyway, looks like one guy actually wanted to leave. And the other already has a game lined up. There has to be more people right? 2 people isn't a restructuring.

Cant wait for it to become a banned one.

It's about one more layoff before that. It can't come soon enough. And I think his tweet confirmed that he knew about, and was fed up with it.
