don't get your hopes up too high for that one.

Hard Drivin' in MAT2 was just a mess. Horrible glitches pretty much ruined all the fun.

Man I really hope Midway aren't complete dipfucks and leave out Driving Force Pro support. Every game on here better have it. I want it even in Hydro Thunder.

I'd really like to see what multiplayer looks like, since most of them are arcade ports, why havent we gotten any splitscreen modes yet?

However, the fact Rush 2049 is the console edition, thats very awesome, Midway. $20 or $30, this is oh so mine.

Wait, wait... fun?

As long as the S.T.U.N. Runner port is as good as or better than the Lynx port this remains a must-buy.

I don't remember, but didn't the DC Hydro Thunder actually look better than the arcade?

No the Arcade version looked better. The Arcade version of Rush 2049 also looked better than the DC version.

yes treaures is quite horrenous. the WORST versions of each game, no online play, glitchy. WASTE.

...
1) The "worst" versions of each game? Whatever do you mean? Except for the very RARE exception, the arcade versions of old Midway/Atari games were better than any home ports.

2) No online play? How many of those games SUPPORTED online play in the first place?

3) Glitchy -- we'll see. The Digital Eclipse emulations of the 2D games should be very good -- it's the Midway reprogrammings of the 3D ones that I'm worried about.

4) What in the world does "horrenous" mean?

Hydro Arcade did indeed look better than the DC version (and obviously didn't suffer from the same lengthy loadtimes as the DC). However, 2049 looked MUCH better on the DC. Not only did the DC version run at 60 fps (most of the time...as smoke completely bogged the game down), it was more detailed overall. The AC version had a terrible framerate...

Being that I've played and STILL play Rush 2049 on the DC and at the arcade, I can easily say without a doubt that the DC version looks better.

Just so there's no confusion.

They better be perfect conversion. I've been this hyped for a collection and my fear to be deceived is unmeasurable.

Shog, it's confirmed that it works with the GT4 wheel?
(i'm gonna have an heart attack if Race Drivin is arcade perfect + GT4 pro)

nope.

even though Dreamcast is more powerful than the hardware that powered Hydro Thunder arcade: the 'Quicksilver' hardware which uses a 3Dfx Obsidian Voodoo2, the Dreamcast conversion was overall, a downgrade in graphics.

the water and everything looked better in the arcade. Dreamcast version seems to use less polygons, even though DC is capable of more polygons than a Voodoo2.

I suppose there are some areas where the DC Hydro Thunder is better than the arcade. but I cant think of any offhand.

hope these run @ 60 fps

I know, and I normally would too. however, for example, San Francisco Rush: The Rock in the arcade was only about 30 to 35 fps so that's all I expect the Midway Arcade Treasures 3 version to be. ( SF Rush on N64 was only 20 to 25 fps ).

Hydro Thunder arcade, I don't know if it was 30 or 60 fps. being that it was on a single Voodoo2, it was probably 30fps

SF Rush 2049: the arcade was definitally 30fps. the Dreamcast version was 60fps most of the time. since MAT3 has the Dreamcast SF Rush 2049, its going to be closer to 60fps
