By attempting to translate relevant images into 3D models within the game's space, mods in Minecraft could do most of a player's construction work for them - at least on a somewhat simple scale. It's this principle that is used by a mod designed by the Reddit user phaze-jeff, who shared their creation via a post on the site which quickly gained traction among the Minecraft community. The post includes a video of the mod in action, showing off its ability to build and edit things after the user asked it to build Joe Biden. The creator also shared links to both the mod itself and the source code, allowing any and all players to download the mod and try it for themselves.
Though the demonstrated output might leave most players content to simply do the building themselves, what the mod's creator has already been able to accomplish is quite remarkable, and sets the foundation for even further possibilities later down the line. Some fans believe that some adjustments to the mod, such as limiting the number of usable building pieces in Minecraft to provide a simpler format, would actually allow the mod to create complex designs more convincingly.
