Mobility report from Google

In my county, everything is way down (except parks at just -11%), but residential is up only 13%... People must be hiding out in their cars or this data is really flawed/incomplete.

We're at -50% retail and rec, which seems higher than some places.

But damn, parks +88%. But it just started getting nice out too, so the baseline throughout winter was super low. Percentages don't always tell the whole story.

Good point about the %'s. Parks are something that could be swayed a lot especially in colder area's.

Quebec's premier Legault today claimed the province was doing the best job at following the measures based on that location data among all the Canadian provinces and US states.

And meanwhile we are the New York of Canada.

Buuuuuuuuut we are showing some positive trends. IF we keep this up we are going in the right direction. I still feel Legault has been a bit slow to react and is to hard headed in his "plan" and making sure no one goes "rogue", like the Cote St Luc mayor who wanted a complete lockdown of his city after it became a hot spot.

We shut shit down real quick.
Rich people not playing with this shit. Either got the fuck out of town, or are staying home and letting others get what we need.
We have tiny homes compared to most of the country, and very little in the way of storage space, but Manhattan feels calm, definitely seems like most are ready for the long haul.

Yeah, it's a mixed bag. I loved that today's press briefing spent a lot of time talking about re-opening the economy and encouraging people to buy local, though. I'm hoping more leaders across the world push that same message. I just wish that date hadn't been pushed back an extra few days. I've been doing my part for weeks already, but the longer this goes on the more I want to pummel every last member of the CCP.
