I'm having some troubles with a monitor I've just acquired. If one of you gafets can't help me out, I'll likely just exchange it.
No matter what resolution I have it set at, the viewable area will take uponly the top 3/4 of the screen. I can stretch it to take up the rest of the screen, but things (of course) get warped. Also, if left in its native 3/4th state, the bottom 1/4th of the viewable screen becomes slightly compressed and crushed, making it slightly difficult to read, as if it's not streted enough.
The monitor controls to adjust the vertical position of the screen do nothing. It's as if the top line of the viewable area is stuck to the top row of the monitor. There's no problem moving it horizontally.
In the system settings, the monitor comes up as a standard Plug and Play monitor.
Anybody able to help out here? Do I need to find specific drivers for this particular monitor? Are there any system BIOS settings that will potentially rectify this? Anyonw? Bueller?
