They aren't including it because it'd canabalizing 3DS sales.
Wasn't it kind of funny how Nintendo was putting DS demos on Wii but no Wii demos ? We've come so far now!

Over a month since launch and there's what? Like 3 demos on the shop? Terrible.
Should have mandatory demos for every game. I don't care about inconveniencing the developers, let me be selfish here.
Is that cynical speculation or did they actually cite that as a reason?

It still seems like a bad excuse. Besides, who is going to want the 3DS version anyway when it lacks online play ? The other features are nice and all, but the lack of online play is a deal breaker to me. It only seems like Capcom decided to localize a 3DS version because it didn't want to completely screw over 3DS owners since they didn't get MH Tri G last year, and only focusing on Wii U would be kind of like giving the middle finger to them. It's coming, just not for your platform!

I've been interested in this game for a while but I never played a Monster Hunter game before so a demo coming is awesome to hear.
Yeah, I'm pretty sure that was the actual thought process behind this weird decision. There certainly are no technical or gameplay related issues as far as I can tell.

That may be Capcom's reasoning but I'm guessing most people who buy the 3DS version either don't plan on getting a Wii U, wants MH on the go, or is double dipping for both versions anyway. I don't know if many people are double dipping just because there's no off-TV play.

Personally I'm septuplet-dipping for the two Wiius and 4 3ds we've got in the house...we kinda like hunting together lol
Midnight EST probably. From what I remember, Nintendo was really on time with Fire Emblem: Awakening and the Etrian Odyssey IV demo.

Also, if the F-Zero game today was any indicator, these demos won't be available for download until about 9am Pacific, so I wouldn't waste time staying up waiting.

Most (if not all?) Nintendo demos have a play limit, I don't think this will be any different.
I actually work with some folks that I could see picking up the 3DS game (one definitely a huge fan), so I am really in the best case scenario, but I still wish I could play the game online. It's tough to spend $40 on a title that you really need people to play with when there's a possibility that your friends will drop it after a week.

You don't need a CPP for the game. It's optional, so yes, it will work.
Demos can have the limits removed if the publisher wishes. The Final Fantasy music game on 3DS has an unlimited demo. Something like Monster Hunter needs an unlimited demo as well as it can take a while to get a real feel for the game. Not expecting it to not have a limit but they would be better served to remove it.
Is the US eShop getting this? I haven't seen anything about it anywhere.
You can get a video on the 3DS if you search for "monster hunter" and the screen says "game demo available" but nothing else can be found.

The MH3:U graphic on the 3DS eShop DOES say that a demo is available, so I assume that means we're getting one today...
