Blogger Rusty Shackleford highlights American hackers who took down a website apparently owned and operated by Abu al Zarqawi.

Rusty comments:

The CIA/FBI are making a major mistake allowing these sites to be kept up. The reason? This is war. In a war you take away propaganda outlets from the enemy. Yes, they may help us track down al Qaeda elements, but that is just the point. Tracking down and arresting al Qaeda is a police function. Treating the War on Terror as a police matter is Clintonesque and is what got us 9/11. We need to shut all these sites down. They are valuable tools for the enemy...

But that is the problem...this dumb bitch thinks that the war on terror (that still hasn't arrested Osama) should be fought as a war...against countries. Where has that gotten us? Clintonesque is exactly what we should have been...at least his administration caught the terrorist responsible for both Oklahoma City and WTC in 1992.

Typical right wing garbage...blame Clinton for everything. For the record, what got us to 9/11 wasn't Clinton, but a systematic and long-term selfish policy toward the middle east.

I think the biggest logical disconnect is the idea that "useful for tracking down and arresting Al Qaeda" is somehow inferior to "THIS IS WAR, AND WE DON'T DO POLICE ACTION!".

Yeah, she's a moron, but Matthews was being a complete dick. She was simply trying to say that people were making accusations, not that that's what she believed, and he was intent on getting her to say that's what she believed. Was he even listening?

BS she was saying that she read in a book that Kerry shot himself. He asked her if she believed this and she started to say yeah until he said something like that is illegal, then she started backing off and saying she read in a book, then he asked what book and then she backed off even more and said that the report back in the 70s said called into question weather they were taking fire, which is related to nothing about Kerry allegedly shooting himself. It's obvious that she was initially claiming Kerry shot himself.

I don't even think she read the book. In the book they mention his self-inflicted wound came from shrapnel that occured from a grenade that Kerry threw and that the military classifies wounds such as that as self-inflicted. The way she tried to color it, and what got her in the hot seat, was her inference that Kerry took a weapon to himself in order to get the citation.

Her back-pedaling and trying to fall back on the hearsay only made her look bad. I'm surprised she didn't go off on how anti bush organizations have spent $60+ million on the attack ads. I guess the memo's had not gotten out to her yet.
