MoTo GP 4!? ehhhh?

ok so I got the latest OPM at the newstand (damn you can't resist soul calibur demo!!) and it had a demo of moto GP 4 (or 5 whatever).

Now let me say I own a bike in RL and drive it alot. I know how a bike should handle.

:lol

Now I am willing to give that this was a demo, and only had arcade mode... but umm... yeah. My question is: is there like a 'sim' setting in the real game? I couldn't even fall off the bike no matter how hard I tried. Is there settings for independant front/rear braking? What the hell is up with being able to drive in the gravel?

I haven't even played a motorcycle game since excitebike... and frankly I don't think we have even made any improvment from that going by this demo.

Try the Xbox game (Moto GP Ultimate race technology (1 2 or 3)) Thats supposed to be realistic, I wouldnt know about that but it is a hell of a lot more fun that the namco version.

The xbox "MotoGP" series by Climax is far better than the "MotoGP" series on the Ps2. I thought that was general knowledge? ;)

well not to me :P

Like I said I haven't played a motorcycle game since excitebike. So xbox has the only bike sim?

and to derail my own thread... has anything been announced as far as tourist trophy coming to the USA?

Yes, there is a simulation mode, and you will come straight off the bike if you hit the gravel at speed or are too aggressive on the throttle/brakes, which you can control independently if turned on.

Climax did ATV Offroad Fury for the PSP didn't they?

No wonder I play that game so much (@ 333mhz mind you). It's technically very impressive.

more because I like the GT style better with regular bikes along with the race ones, and from the sounds of it, they are really trying to capture the weight transfer properly.

edit: I am just a little concerned that we will never see it over here, and I will be forced to chip my ps2 or buy a JPN one to play it... oh well I guess I did that for GT1 :)
