Come Thursday, I can feed my need for a new cell phone. I was looking around at the Verizon store, and noticed the V710. I know all about the fact of the crippled Bluetooth, which isn't a big deal for me. (I know I can hack it too.) The big deal is that the phone will probably be free when it's all said and done.

Anyone have experience with this phone?

I have it. It's okay. I use it for the bluetooth so I can connect it to my PDA. Takes crappy pictures though. (If you want better ones, you're going to have to flash it with a hacked firmware which also uncripples your bluetooth) The thing is kinda big but it looks nice. You could try the LG VX7000 which has a better camera if that's what you're looking for. Along with EVDO and a nicer inside and outside screen. It'll cost you some money though. It's bigger too and IMO, uglier and doesnt have bluetooth. Better camera and screen though. Exactly what is important to you in a camera anyway?

I have a nice digital camera to take pictures. The camera on the camera phone would be just to fool around and take embarrasing shots of my friends after we've had too many drinks, really.

Preferably those drinks will be in well lighted areas.
