I didn't want to spend too much money on an ipod, so I went with the Creative Labs 30GB Nomad which I got for about $210 at Amazon. Did I make a bad decision? I almost went with the 20GB Zen Touch version for a little more money, but a friend told me his older Nomad worked better than the Touch.

Just curious if anyone had good/bad experiences with a Creative Labs Nomad.

I saw one at Circuit City and the size didn't bother me. I'm not interested in a ton of features, either. As long as the thing works like it's supposed to, I'm good to go.

$210 seems a little sttep though. I could sworn I saw a 30GB Nomad for under $200 at Fry's or Best buy, or someplace...though it mgiht have been a sale.

Still, good choice.

if you go to school-college then you can get an ipod for $230

It's a good player just I've heard that the headphone jack may become lose\breaks etc. However they fixed that problem in later batches (there is a way to know if you have one of the latter batches but I forget).
