I dont know anyone with a ds, so i've been sitting here typing to myself LOL ... sad, isn't it?
Mr. Driller is a lot of fun, but really really hard. I just got Ping Pals and I think it has the potential to be more fun than Mr. Driller as it seems to have a lot more to offer up front.
Um O K :lol
and another
In the latest EGM, they reviewed ping pals as the worst game ever next to the second lowest game they reviewed which was bedrock bowling. Ping pals got a 1.5/0/0.

Am I the only one thinking Nintendo is gonna miss the boat again? Seems like alot of people still believe the Wifi in the DS will allow them to play against people over the net. Did they really need wifi for local connects when they bluetooth built in?
Taking Ping Pals as an example, they could of had a sleeper hit killer-app on their hands had they offered some form of online. Chatting, custom avatars, games, the kids eat that shit up. Instead they get to play guess the number from 1-10 or answer yes/no questions against a DS "chat-bot"
Considering I dropped over $300 in the past week on DS, and I own about 48 cube games this makes me wonder if Nintendo will ever "get it". That coupled with Iwata's comments this week regarding PSP make me wonder if they're connected with the western gamers at all.
Iwata said he doubts that PSP, which marks Sony's foray into handheld gaming, will attract new fans the way Nintendo DS has, wooing beginners, including young women who studies have shown usually dislike games.
The old-style formula for success of relying on technological innovations to deliver dazzling graphics simply doesn't work, Iwata said. Nintendo DS, which stands for "dual screen," has a wireless function and a touch-panel.
Sorry Mr Iwata, but you are wrong. I'm willing to bet it's the hardcore gamers that are buying up your DS's not young women or "beginners?". And yes, dazzling graphics alone don't sell in today's jaded market, but dazzling graphics along with gameplay to back it up certainly do sell ( Ico anyone? ).
And wireless? Well like I said above, the mistakes are already happening in that area not even 2 weeks after launch. Seriously, break open the piggy bank and setup some central servers like Live. Like that saying goes.."You have to spend money to make money". Time to take that to heart before it's game over.
