MultiVersus | Official Cinematic Trailer

It's F2P, so, if it looks decent I'll at least check it out. I have a feeling if it is, it's going to be monetized very poorly, but I guess we'll see!

Well hey at least they could afford voices, unlike that Nickelodeon game

Bugs looks weird. Also lol at ssJ Shaggy

So is Shaggy (and presumably Scooby) not allowed to eat "Scooby snacks" anymore? Also his voice actor is not good (everyone else, even Arya, is pretty good).

Are i'm the only one who hates that term nowadays? Newground games are "free to play". These are to 99% just platforms to support microtransactions.
I mean, I don't want to call it F2P/Free To Play, but it basically is the standard nowadays.

And well, while that is correct, the game IS still technically free to download, launch, and play. So it's accurate. However if people have problems with spending, then they're in for a doozy. But the term will continue to be fitting unless we reach a point where playing is behind a pay gate.

It looked good until the free to play.

Genshin, Fortnite, many other successful f2p games.

Get outta gere with it being a negative. It is the opposite. If it gets a big fanbase it can get character dlc for years, probably for free while cosmetics will be the thing paying for it.

Game has huge potential considering it'll be F2P and the characters that could be added. Not really into Smash style games but I'll definitely check it out. Emails were sent out for closed alpha registration.

Decent trailer. I'm hoping there is a mode that speeds the gameplay up a little as right now it looks like Brawl's floatiness and speed.

Regarding the F2P complaints, this game would have been as dead as that Nickelodeon game if it charged any type of money. Neither of the developers have the same type of reverence or pull that a Nintendo game has. As much as people are fighting it, F2P was the right call.

Also, this is the most I've seen people come into a thread regarding a game they don't care nor know about, to give a take just because. It's pretty funny.

Looks like something that was conceived in a boardroom by 50+ yo MBAs whose closest proximity to gaming was "once playing that snake game on their Nokia phone".
