It is a Sci-Fi comedy show, currently holding a %97 on Rotten Tomatoes, it is a very odd comedy show but really good and funny. 3 episodes are out highly recommended if it is your cup of tea.

I've been enjoying it as well. I don't know where things are going, but I have a feeling that his entire crew, who are all smart scientifically, all have terribly awful survival skills.

So I'm guessing it will lead to multiple dumb/funny character deaths.

Love it as well. Also like that they are not dropping the entire season at once. Like the anticipation of new episodes!

I always have a hard time watching this guy, watching him act is like watching someone do karaoke in a language they barely speak. Al tough he was pretty good in Succession

And the way he tries to fit in?

I think you are alone in this one I absolutely love him in everything

I read some of the books, they were alright.
I prefer the books to the show so far. There is a lot more inner monologue in the books and that is what makes the character interesting. Hope they manage to fit a little more of it in as the show goes on - especially the stuff about how the company's operate and screw everyone over.

Yeah I read the first one after seeing tons of praise for these books over the years. It was fun enough but it didn't leave much of an impression either to be honest.
Maybe the series gets better as it goes on but I didn't quite get where all the high praise and awards for the first book came from.

Will definitely check this out the next time I get Apple TV though, seems like a decent adaptation and maybe I'll like it better in Tv show format.

It's following the books really well. They are VERY short books. I suspect if it gets a 2nd season they will mush stuff up between books a bit.

I like the premise and the story but the Benetton DEI casting and Marvel quip writing pulls me out of it. Time for producers to realize it's not 2019 anymore.

They are a bunch of free loving hippies form the none corporate section of the galaxy. Its actually part of the humor of the books and the show.
