How did the demo stack up to the original Musashi?

The demo consisted of beating up 2 different kinds of "creations" about 25 times each, through boring uninspired hallways that were completly linear. There was no platforming or strategy involved. There were 3 attacks you could select to use to add a little variety but that was it for a demo. They would have been better off not including the demo the way it was.

I loved the original, and still plan to rent this.. but the demo left me sad.

Yeah, real bummer for Square fans like me. Last gen they made some amazing games, even outside of the RPG genre. Games like Bushido Blade, Tobal #1 and #2, and Einhander were some of the most innovative games to date.

They should really make a new Bushido Blade and Einhander.

Thinking about a sequel to Einhander depresses me, as I don't think it'll ever happen. I'd do a backflip if they would even just straight port it to the PSP.
