Lady Gaga's already got a formidable list of collaborators (oh hey, Beyoncé!), but could she be teaming up with Adele next?

The pop divas posed for a selfie together Wednesday night, and it's got us buzzing.

"Nothing like a Wednesday night bro-down with the beautiful Adele," Gaga captioned the shot, which finds the Artpop singer looking generally normal (by Gaga standards) with a long, blonde 'do and cozied up to a beaming Adele.

The cute shot of two of modern music's most talented elicits multiple questions (what's a "bro-down"?), but most importantly: Are they writing and recording together?

Both have reportedly been working on new music. Rumors are swirling that Adele may do another James Bond theme, while Gaga has been posting studio shots with longtime collaborator RedOne, who's co-written and -produced hits like "Bad Romance" and "Poker Face."

Gaga's already proven herself a talent when it comes to the classics (see: her Grammy-nominated set of jazz standards with Tony Bennett), so her husky vocals could blend well on an Adele power ballad.

Gaga has had two number one albums in the last year and has gone on oe sold out tour and is on another now.

And the only reason you haven't heard of Adele since Skyfall is because she's not wanted you to. She went off had a baby and is living her life. Her last album sold 30 million worldwide making it the best selling album this side of the century (a title it may well hold on to for the rest of it) and people are calling her irrelevant. When she finally comes back everybody will be talking about her
