Took Deliver on a "Saabaru" 9-2X 3 weeks ago. So far, ive just gotten a turbo timer and short shifter installed.

I tried the 9x at the NY autoshow and hated it. the passenger seats were extremely cramped. Hope you enjoy this tho.

Definitely better looking than the impreza...pity no sedan is available though.

It would have been nice if they actually bothered to make the interior more Saab like.

The Seats can be bothersome but i've gotten use to them. The Car is a Desert Silver and looks way better then the other colors maybe except black.

Just out of curiousity, did you test drive a WRX as well? I've noticed most testers noted that it was quieter and more refined than the WRX. Which is fine by me.

I test drove the wrx wagon when my car was in port. Handling wise i felt the Saab was more or less the same but I did notice the cabin noise was kept to a minimum. Saab really insulated the car pretty well. The Saab has better steering then the wrx which it got from the STI.

I drove a '05 Legacy GT and a WRX back-to-back once and I thought the WRX felt cheap and juvenile. It was better than the base Impreza, for sure, but for what they're charging for a Saab 9-2X, I'd rather get an Infiniti G35.

actually they just started giving GM employee discounts on these, so they're like under 20k now (with the rebates they already had going). cheapest way to get the wrx drivetrain right now, but the saab specific parts (realistically, there are few and they're mostly cosmetic) will be a bitch and a half to deal with. also i don't know what short shifter you ended up with but i've heard the sub factory ss is a piece of shit.

that interior in those pics looks a helluva lot like the interior on newer refreshened impreza's (05+?). which is a helluva better than the interiors the imprezas orignally came with. anybody know the story? saab redesigned the interior and subaru decided to snatch 'em themselves?

just looks like the interior of my WRX '04 (that'd be a US 05 probably). Even the steering wheel looks like the same momo one with a Saab badge on it.
