It was bound to happen eventually, today just happened to be the day. One of the ear cushions on my EX71's fell off and I can't seem to find it. Though two other sets were included with the headphones, the large set hurts my ears, while the smaller set lets too much noise through to be a permanent solution. I found a website selling replacements, but they wanted $17 after shipping, which seems a tad extreme.

Help?

You know I always wondered about that, I use the MDR-NC11 noise cancelling earbuds. It uses similar in ear cushions, if I lost mine I'll be damned if I spend another $150 for another pair.

Try emailing sony and ask them if they sell replacements ear cushions, and or how you can obtain a new one.

I use the small set. So I propose a trade. I'll send you my medium set if you send me your small set. PM me if interested.

Here's that part aoi was mentioning :

ok;;
take a piece of heat-shrink tubing ( used 10 - 18 AWG - quality 6)

cut about 1 inch;; and get two drill bitts;; one the size of the ear bud shaft;; and the other the size of your ear canal.. (( yes;; just stick a few drill bittzz in your ear until you find one comfortable..))

now;; place one on one end of the 1" tubeing and the other on the other drill bitt..

then,, take a match and heat both ends;; not toooooo much..

you will have a two diamiter tube now;;
one to fit on the earbud shaft;;

and the other for in-the-ear;; but,, fold that end over to make a neat smoothe rim..

fits in real good;; and i have the freekin bass back..!!
