I mainly just put these online to show some friends, but I guess other people might like to see too. I collect Super Soakers, and I recently spread them out to take a few pictures.

intangibles, motherfucker
ive had one in my life, and its the one below your left foot. pretty cool but heavy when it was full. im sure i still have it around somewhere.

Damn.

I had the 50 and the 100. Once they started getting all next-gen with the 75 and it's fancy new, more powerful water stream, that was it for me.

Supersonic, idiotic, disconnecting, not respecting, who would really ever wanna go and top that
You're ready for WaterWorld, I'll give you that much. :p

Yeah, that's me in the red shirt.

They have a few neat variants of the 50. There are limited edition camoflage and chrome versions and they made a backpack holster for it and extra belt clip tanks. In 1999 Konami and Larami teamed up to make a promotional item for Metal Gear Solid VR Missions. It was a chrome Super Soaker 50 with MGS stickers on it in a nice box with MGS dogtags and a glow stick. Sadly, the Metal Gear collectors pounce on that one and I haven't been able to get it. Last one went for $271, twice my high bid. http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&rd=1&item=8128645013

:( That's just for walking around the house. I never wear slippers when I go somewhere.

where do you keep all that?

I used to have racks and shelves up with them permanently displayed. I ran out of room at about 130 soakers. Now they're boxed up in a large portion of the garage and I just use specific ones here and there. Eventually I'm going to have to move into a house with a spare three car garage for me to set up shelves in.

I forget the exact name, but I had the first version of the Super Soaker that had the multi-directional shooting. The one that had the single stream that could be pointed in three directions.

My first one was the aimable shot one.. where you turned the front handle and you could aim it. That owned. I caught so many of my friends who were standing beside me, unsuspecting. I then owned an 1000 (sigh.. got me through some good fights) and my brother got a 1500. 1000 was the best one I ever used. Still works like a charm when my neighbour's friend parks in front of my driveway with his windows open. >: D

That's the one I had. With the handle. That was a kick ass water gun.

That was simply called the Super Soaker MDS (Multi Directional Soaker). It was the same frame as the Super Soaker 60 with a special handle/nozzle. They later made an MDS keychain and some other derivatives of the design. Later the 85 and 1-3-5 played around with nozzles going at angles, and there was one that shot both forwards and backwards, but the original MDS was quite a classic.

My father wholesales plumbing supply, so he meets a lot of different people. One of his bigger clients tested toys or something, so every so often I'd get toys that weren't on the market yet. I got a SS200 without any labels on it. I remember using the full weight of my body to pump the handle.

I eventually made it explode and broke it.

Edit:
I took some screencaps from the Pinball Wizard episode of Are You Afraid Of The Dark (Season 1 Finale episode)

is beloved, despite what anyone might say
Oh we used to have a ton of waterguns too when we were little... would always chase down the girls and soak them to death :D Till they put the hose on us... I remember I had the watergun with the giant backpack, and a huge pressure stream... that was pretty crazy...

I used to have an old school 100, and my friends rocked the 50. Back in our "Beavis & Butthead" days, we used to do Super Soaker drive-bys... Ah, the memories are so beautiful. :)

The black man everyone at Activision can agree on
That is pretty cool. We took some super soakers to Florida for our week long vacation with us just in case... it was pretty fun, I've never used one before.... seen them on TV, but never used on.

Haha, that's awesome. Last weekend we had a BBQ at the park for my friend's 21st birthday, me and some other guys got the girls pretty good. One of them got mad at me because I put ice down here back, so she sprayed me with Hawaiian Punch. Needless to say she was delevered retribution :)

ChrisReid, do you or have you at any time lived in Hawaii? Your substitution of the term 'slippers' for 'sandals' leads me to believe such.

I've only had one SuperSoaker, and IIRC it was this one. It didn't take me long after buying it (rather, for my mom to buy it) to realize that I hated it, and I immediately went back to old-fashioned water pistols. My favorite was this big-ass yellow pistol molded from RoboCop's "Auto-9" gun. Still have it, I think.;

P.S. You look like Fred Savage from the Wonder Years days. :D

Oh no, I have a friend who insists I look like him and I always tell him I don't.

Several years back, shortly after the tenth anniversary I believe, they announced that over a quarter billion Super Soakers had been sold worldwide. I'm not sure how they break down between individual guns, but an amazing number of people seem to have had the original Super Soaker 50 at some point in their lives.

We have that grey one with the purple tank on the back. It has a little red/orange cover for the water spout. I can't stand that gun.

Standard super soakers rock though.
