I skipped getting an Xbox this gen but there are some games I am thinking about picking up now they are cheap. So the question is do I pick up a cheap Xbox or wait for an X360 and hope they have backwards compatibility for obscure titles like Headhunter redemption, Panzer Orta, Otogi 1 and 2 and Jet Set Future. Thing is I don't want to wait for confirmation that the x360 will play these games before picking them up (i.e. I don't want to have to buy these 2nd hand)

So any advice? When will we know what games are bw compatible on x360?

But for your sake, forget the Xbox 360 and grab an Xbox when it drops in price. It's bound to happen, even if the drop is just to $129.99.

Wasnt there supposed to be this one day where microsoft was going to destroy all the lies but that ended up just being pricing? Most likely the backwards compability will be done with you owning an xbox and a xbox360. That's your safest bet.

It's pretty clear that the 360's backward's compatability feature is a technicality more than anything else.
