Namco announces Namco Collection

The people that have all of these games are greatly outnumbered by those that don't. All you need to understand.

I do understand that... My statement wasn't generalized, it was me speaking for myself. I'm a huge Namco fan, but there's really no point for this for me. Shit, I say "IMO" in a post, and people are like, "YOU DON'T NEED TO SAY IT'S YOUR OPINION WE KNOW THAT." Then I exclude it, and everyone's all up in my face like, "DON'T YOU SPEAK FOR ME I'M LAME AND I NEVER BOUGHT KLONOA." Sheesh...

I'm with Ignatz, I'd rather see a larger collection of some of the games that have already been released in other "museum" collections.

The only game I don't have that I might want to play in this collection is Klonoa... and while some say it's worth the price of admission, it's not for me...

God fucking damn it. Even in spoiler tags, why do people have to post the fucking climaxes to videogames in general topics.

Anyway, I will pick this up, but I really wish it was for PSP as well. Hopefully Namco will announce a PSP version before the PS2 version is released so I can wait for that.
man, i hope you're just annoyed that people do that in general, and you didn't just have Door To Phantomile's ending ruined for yourself, cause it really is super awesome.

my favorite ending in a videogame actually. well, wait, maybe. but definitely in the top...3? maybe 5. the point is it's fuckin awesome.

Ive never played Klonoa, but it doesnt seem to look that good. What does everyone love about the game?

By the time it came out the graphics were nice. Semi-3D platformers were also at their pinnacle (and soon to be non-existent after that).
This Klonoa is still the best of the series in matter of gameplay and level design, it was so well-made and fun. Heck it's a platformer and even the story was interesting and had plot twists!

If it's the arcade version of Ridge Racer it could be worth it for the novelty and nostalgia kicks.

That can be had with A)The original RR for psx, and B)RR High-spec bonus disc on R-Type 4

Namco, give us an ARCADE PERFECT RIDGE RACER collection with DFP support!!

The fact that they took time to put yet another version of the original Ridge Racer on a compilation disc instead of Raver Racer, a game that's just BEGGING for an arcade to home port with online play and force feedback support....is utterly mind boggling.

Thanks GOD for Trackmania and Crashday.....

I wish Sean wasn't banned so he could weigh in on this discussion....

it would be so pathetic if the Ridge Racer that Namco includes on this PS2 collection, turned out to be the first PS1 converision, the one made in 1994 that runs at 30fps - this is the one that came out with PS1 in Dec 1994 in Japan and in Sept 1995 in the U.S.

oh and just because PSP Ridge Racers includes a track from Rave Racer, does not excuse Namco for not bringing out a full Rave Racer port.

Namco bastards forgot Time Crisis.

Why should they put it AGAIN?

you know what Im sayin Fularu?

Rave Racer is an obvious desire for many but God, what I would give for Tokyo Wars!
It's like Sega's Alien Front Online, only much better (IMO)

not to mention Alpine Racer, Air Combat 22... the list of not-ported or not-converted Namco 3D arcade games stretches for miles.

Yeah, I gotta agree with the dissenters. This collection is pretty lame. It's like VH1 making nostalgia shows highlighting seven years ago. Maybe I'd feel a little different if I didn't own all of these games already, but you could walk into any EB or GameStop today and easily pick up all of these titles (except Klonoa) for a combined $15 or $20. I just don't see the purpose (yes, besides Klonoa).
