Napster Music Service Is Dead, Again...

So Napster was offering streaming music, like Spotify, for the past decade or so. But now, they've completely changed their business model.

They are now an AI company of course:

Napster is becoming a portal to AI-driven music experiences. Create together. Connect deeper. Coming soon.

Check out the list of their AI agents, pink hair warning.

It's a bunch of AI agents who can help with finances, fitness, coding etc. That's what they've now become?

I really hate this aggressive AI push into every aspect of life.

AI for advice, AI to code, AI contact centre agents, AI music, AI novels, AI art, AI porn, AI analytics.......

I getting serious AI fatigue 😩

Limewire, Napster.. All are becoming vague "AI driven something something experience AI something create AI something buzzwords"

I told a Christian band I downloaded their songs off Napster. They thought it was cool. I bought their album too.

Napster, Limewire, Kazaa, Morpheus, Soul Seek, Emule, WinMX, Shareaza, Edonkey, Gnutella....

The lengths I'd go to, to find the latest white labels. :messenger_tears_of_joy:

Good times.

I still use eMule sometimes for some very obscure stuff like old foreign movies that don't exist anywhere. Not sure if any of the others still exist.

Out of all those, Soulseek found a way to stay alive, not many people use it though.

Can we just go back to the good old days of spending 54 hours downloading a movie on Limewire, having your whole family in the living room waiting to see it only to find out it is the porn version and you have to frantically rush to the dvd player to stop the thing while explaining to your dad that no it is not a joke and even if it was you don't find it funny at all ?
