I sure hope so, though I don't believe we know.

This is all we know so far, I think:

The roles are reversed in Nintendo's latest NDS game. The company has announced Super Princess Peach for the NDS, and this time Princess Peach is the one doing the platforming.

In Super Princess Peach, Mario has been kidnapped. You take control of Princess Peach and must work your way through a series of 2D side scrolling stages in order to save the classic mascot character. You select your level via a world map not unlike that of Yoshi's Island and can enter Toad's shop to purchase items.

Peach isn't alone in her platforming adventure. She has at her side Kassaa, a magical umbrella. Kassaa can be used for a variety of actions, from striking enemies, to helping Peach float. Kassaa is a happy umbrella and always seems to smile.

It's currently a bit unclear how Nintendo will go about using the NDS's second screen with this title. Currently, it seems that the top screen will show Princess Peach's face as you play. Based on the current situation in the game, Peach's facial expression will change, and the actions she can perform will follow.

Screenshots make this game look just like a Super Nintendo or Game Boy Advance style platformer, with similar art style and classic Nintendo characters. Of course, seeing Princess Peach in a starring role is certainly different enough that we'll have to take a closer look.

i don't think super princess peach was at e3 [?] which could mean either - a surprise AAA gem - or sucksville...

what's endless summer? is it an animal crossing type game?

I definitely heard during E3 that Super Princess Peach was being developed in the Kyoto headquarters. After the recent reorganization, I guess I couldn't tell you whether that's "EAD proper" of yore or just any one of the software development teams.

I'm tempted to by princess peach and beat it and learn every secret despite how awful it will probably be...

Why would it be awful? We've had the odd bad Nintendo 2D platformer, Yoshi's Story comes to mind, but the vast majority are good or better.

I'm hoping it's from the Starfi team personally, would be nice to actually get to play a game from them.

Agreed... Why is the only video for it some 2-second clip?

Probably from a compilation video.

I doubt they just picked Peach randomly. Another Luigi game would be nice, but he's in the New Super Mario Bros. and does basically play like Mario generally. Peach had her umbrella for floating and will probably be able to pull up vegetables to throw.

Besides, Luigi's had his own game, about time Peach did.

True... fair enough.
