Need help finding the perfect notebook computer

I need a desktop on the go. I've already scoped out a portable scanner, and a portable printer, but now I need the actual notebook itself.

I'm specifically looking for something that can RIP through games effortlessly. I'm in need of something that could play, at the very least, Rome: Total War and the upcoming Age of Empires. I play almost nothing but RTS games and old school games on my PC. I figure a notebook comp with a mouse could help achieve the same effect. Or at the very least, Playstation and Dreamcast.

Also, I've seen those notebook-tablet hybrid computers where the screen is a touch screen, and you can actually slip and rotate the screen to make it a full fledged tablet pc. I REALLY need one of those. That's even more important than the power. The ability to write on the screen my notes and make a calendar is SO important that I cannot possibly emphasize it enough.

Third, a decent screen. Nice and vibrant. At least approaching my current crappy 15" CRT

Fourth has to be a DVD burner. Being limited to less than 100GB is suicide for me almost.

Another thing that's almost a requirement is connectability. 2 firewire ports and 2 USB ports. I think I'll need lots of USB and whatnot for the accessories I plan to bring with me to make my "Portable desktop" dream a reality.

Also, I have a question: What are my options for internet on the go? I don't want to rely on spotty wireless networks for internet. I'll need something that I can take into school and work with me and access GAF without having to look for a proxy.

So, is there any hope for me?

I skimmed through your post, so basically you have a choice to make, whether tablet/laptop is more important or just desktop power. You really can't have both. If you go for something like a tablet than forget about running any type of 3D gaming stuff :P
