I can handle Marvel vs Capcom 2 with it not TOO badly, but I'm not worried about that. I have the S-type controller, which means the black and white buttons are really poorly placed for this kind of game. I need to get those special kind of controllers for this game.
personally I don't mind it; it's the best d-pad out of the 3 systems for sure. but if you want the primo stash, get the nuby pad. RUMBLE IS FOR CASUALS

If you were trying to pick between the xbox and ps2 versions of the game and wanted to use the first party controller to play it, I'd say it's better lain out for PS2. But really, just try it with the default and get a different pad if you need to.
It's good, gets the job done. Leagues better than the GC D-pad, but I think it feels way to stiff, and kinda hard to pull off moves on it. I definitely like the PS2 D-pad the best.
Anyway, I can't stand the Xbox's d-pad and button layout for 2D fighters. It's easily the worst of the big three, IMO, making the Nuby pad or a good joystick a personal necessity.
Sorry, but i ain't any good with a joystick. I guess i'm one of the few out there that'll take a dpad instead any day of the week.

Hehe, i can pull off moves in CvS nobody would think possible on the GC dpad, much to everyone else's opinion. The PS2 dpad iz awright, but definitely my least favorite when it comes to fighters. I eagerly await to test out the X-Box dpad when SFAC comes out.
