Yes Boss! said:Amazon has the Mushi Futari Stick for preorder. As usual Japan-only ship. Hoping NCS comes through. This one is not nearly as pretty as the DS stick. But, it is surely different. Don't know what color buttons to put in it until after it is in hand and can see the green.

Yes Boss! said:Yeah, pretty bad. A lot less love than what I was anticipating for the second biggest game release of the year.
But, not even an issue that I'm pursuing it. It will be a nice "cool down" stick for November after the October stuff. I'll get it just to support Cave (in a little way) and to have a sister stick for the sexy DS version. Plus, always nice to have a dedicated official stick. It should be able to fixed up with a new button scheme.
Did you open it(From the top, not the back)to see if somehow the 5 pin connector got loose. Just in case you have no idea what I'm talking about, here's a picShinAmano said:Ok GAF...help me out before I flip my shit.
Last night I decided to FDAC a stranger in the alps...anyhow I busted out my rarely used Tournament Edition stick to attempt one of Guiles challenges...low and behold I come to find out that the stick does not work anymore.
So the buttons seem to function fine (not sure about the xbox or turbo one in the top left) but the stick itself does not register in any direction. Has this happened to anyone else?
I have seriously only used the stick less then a dozen times...was it feeling left out? How do I take care of this without having to send it to MadCatz to repair for (assuming) crazy cash?
No...never opened or messed with in anyway...I still put the twist-tie back on the cord when not in use.ShinobiFist said:Did you open it(From the top, not the back)to see if somehow the 5 pin connector got loose.
What I meant by that statement was, if you open the stick when you notice the problem. obviously you didn't. So, I suggest if you have the tools(A Hex Key)Open the stick from the top, and take a look at the Joystick itself to see if the cord going to the stick got loose somehow. Markman did a excellent job on how organise the wires are in there. So you wouldn't have any trouble. And besides, almost everything in there is detachable, so don't worry if you pull something by mistake(I doubt you'll do that)And plus, opening the stick from the top doesn't void your warranty.ShinAmano said:No...never opened or messed with in anyway...I still put the twist-tie back on the cord when not in use.
That was all I was worried about. I am very comfortable in modding sticks and I have all the tools to do so...I was just concerned that it was some odd board malfunction and there was nothing I could do.ShinobiFist said:What I meant by that statement was, if you open the stick when you notice the problem. obviously you didn't. Dude, something just hit me, check if somehow your finger hit the switch that controls your actual stick. Is label as "LS DP RS" Is right on top of the lock switch. If it went to RS or LS(I believe) The stick won't function at all, I did this to my brother when he was high. I move the switch to "RS"(Right Analog stick) and he was freaking out, lol. I know "RS" effects the stick, but not totally sure about "LS". But yeah, that's one option you can check before you open it.ShinAmano said:That was all I was worried about. I guess i could try this when I get home. I was so pissed last night...:lol

Damn, aight. Let's us know what happens when you get home from work. Hopefully, is just the 5 pin connector that got loose and nothing else(Plug it to your PC just in case). Good luck fam, one.ShinAmano said:I tried that
I was playing with the fightpad...then for one of the trials i wanted to use the stick so I plugged it in...no response from the stick...I checked all three positions of the selector...then I rebooted the xbox to try again still got nothing (though I can't confirm I tried the switch after the reboot).
Hopefully that is it...though I am fearful as when not in use (and again i have only used it a handful of times) it sits in a spot all to itself in my entertainment center...ShinobiFist said:Damn, aight. Dude, that's what I've been saying. HAPP or BUST!Tatsumaki Senpuukyaku! said:Man, madcatz is knocking it out of the ball park with their sticks. Now please madcatz, make the definitive HAPP stickfor Marvel. I'm sick of modding SFAC sticks. I'll be disappointed if it's just a TE with Wolverine on it, although I'll understand.
On a semi-unrelated note, is it just me or is the TE actually easier to find in stores now then the SE? I've been looking for one and I called like 8 gamestops in the area and none of them had one and 3 or 4 had TEs.

Yes Boss! said:Yeah, that is the one. I'm at work with only my phone so could not attach a photo, thanks! I remember seeing a link to an auction a few months back on SRK for an eBay listing but google shows no other sellers. I found the cheapy HSS-0104 (grey) and HSS-0136 (psuedo-Astro City) easily enough for purchase but the big one is proving tough. I tried Yahoo Auctions Japan but that site is near-impossible for a non-Japanese speaker.

The project enclosure is from Radioshack, but it required a good amount of trimming in order for it to fit inside the case. Definitely a tight fit.
It probably took about a week's worth of evenings, spaced out over a whole month. That included cutting down the project box, wiring, debugging, and creating the art (done entirely with circles in Photoshop :/). Wiring up the trigger buttons correctly was actually more effort than I expected due to the 360 PCB's particular revision (Mad Catz, 2009).INDIGO_CYCLOPS said:I LOVE that stick - wow. Really nice. How long did the build take you? I'm considering a custom for 360 and the other consoles; I saw the aluminum cases on SRK but seemed a bit pricey.
HRAPs have 7mm nuts. You'' have to remove the bottom panel first to access these.DoubleTap said:Does anyone know the screw sizes for the top panels for the Madcatz FS TE and HRAP's?
Thanks in advance!
