the obsf are the snap in buttons right?
Yep. Just think the "N" in the naming conventions mean "nut" because if they have "N" they all screw-in (ex. OBSN-30, OBSN-24, PS-14GN, PS-14DN etc.)
OBSFs snap in.

ahh
now before i get the parts is there anything i can do to improve the stock parts
ive noticed that the stock buttons respond to the lightest tap
and the joystick is way too loose
well by that i mean i will move when i dont want it to when im charging moves

Well, I had my first chance to play with my new TE stick last night. For someone who is not an arcade veteran or hardcore fighter player, a stick feels odd at first. I know it's a matter of just getting used to the thing. What the best advice for doing so (other than 'just play')? Can anyone point me to anything that talks about the nuances of stick control? I'm committed to learning but I think it's going to take awhile. Btw I own HD Remix and MvC 2.

Well here is the update to my broken TE stick story...

So I called Madcatz only to find that the SF stuff only has a 90 day warranty and that I am outside of it...hooray! :(

However the guy on the phone (guess he was in a good mood...or I was a nice guy) made an exception because they said it sounds like a hardware failure rather then user problem.

So now I have to send in my stick and hopefully getting this taken care of wont be too painful.

Guess while I am without it I may design a new slip for it and hit up that 'Art's Hobbies' site for the job.

find a comfortable position to hold the lever, don't ride the gate, and practice!

i dont know why but that stick looks really tacky
i mean compared to other sticks ive seen

That's because it is terrible looking. There is no way around that. Maybe it will look better in the flesh at the end of November. Such an ugly stick will likely come soldered, to add insult.

Actually, I assume it will use Quick Disconnects like the Deathsmiles stick. Hori doesn't have a soldered HRAP 360 PCB, right?

That one wasn't soldered and it was super simple to put in Seimistu parts. Praying for similar! Any ideas on what to do with the buttons and ball-top color-wise?

Edit: forgot the stick was soldered, but easy enough to switch.

It's the best sub-$100 stick out there.

Keep reading a lot of problems about the stick having problems because of a washer and buttons not registering. Oh well, will see once it gets here. Don't want to have to spend more money to mod it.

I just received a Tekken 5 Stick as a gift from my boy, he forgot he had one. The damn stick was never use, he kept it in a box(PS2 Limited Edition)Anyway, I just finish putting a extra spring in there to give it that "HAPP" feeling. But, when I try to play Tekken 5DR on the PS3 via my USB adapter, Tekken won't recognise the Stick, But SF2T:HDR, BlazBlue, SFIV and KOFXII does recognise the stick, lol.

It must be the adapter because I try the stick at his crib with my other adapter(That one I left over there)And I was playing Tekken 5DR just fine with the Tekken stick....I'll try the other adapter tonight when I pick it up. BTW, I think I'm going to get rid of my sealed copy of Xenogears and Suikoden II for another VSHG.

Yo, MarkMan; What about showing the color Black some love homie, is time for a change fam. A full black TE Stick would look bananas, son!
The new TE render shown at the Gamestop conference is almost entirely black

I'll post real pics of the actual sticks sometime today or tomorrow.

Yea I was hoping for an all Happ / American layout stick, similar to that of Nubytech's 15th Anniversary stick

I would have wanted to do a Happ stick too. Let that be known everyone. Given the time constraints we had to work with, we weren't able to truly do this stick justice (ie. give it the full on iL/happ/wood casing treatment).

But hey. Keep watching.

So, are you saying we might see a HAPP stick in the near future? BTW, I hope that artwork is not final for the Marvel stick. Bengus or Bust.

No Happ parts = no buy for me.

Whoa. That Marvel stick's making me rethink my Seimitsu HRAP pre-order. Damn. My love of the LS-32 is strong though. Is LL still taking forever sending out orders??

The stiff lever snaps back to neutral quickly. This is apparently useful in that game.

The buttons hold up better to punishment too, i think. And Marvel play is generally pretty brutal on buttons.
