NES/Classic Game Storing Ideas

Hey, I'm redoing my room which had ALL of my consoles out hooked up to either my HDTV or TV. I decided to make more space in the room is to store away my older consoles and leave enough room to bring one out to play a game or two. Biggest problem is the NES games. I have them all in ABC order but not all of them are in black sleeves and they take up a major ammount of space.

I was wondering if any people here have certain ways I might not know about to storing them. Like in a way they are still in order yet making room for other things. Any ideas for any of the consoles will come in handy actually. Thanks for your help if you choose to do so.

BTW this is what I'm dealing with for storage right now. The NES games are taken from where the empty shelf space is because I need to move that shelf.

The usual organization/clutter management rules come into play:

1) Find a space that you aren't utilizing.
2) Come up with a cool way to utilize that space.
3) If you don't have a lot of untilized free space, consider more efficient means of stackability. For example, instead of piling high on a shelf, pile "wide" in drawer.
4) Consider some kind of alternate, out-of the way storage for things that aren't frequently used. If you are using them as part of the decor, consider using only a sampling of the carts and storing the rest away.

Here's how I have my NES games stored. It's not the prettiest storage method, but it allows for a ton of games in a relatively small space. All nicely organized in alphabetical order.

These three drawer units (I have them stacked two high) are made by a company called Sterilite, and they cost roughly $12 each. I found these specific drawers at Wal-Mart, but I'm sure that Targets or similar stores also carry them.

Each individual drawer perfectly holds 40 NES carts, so each $12 unit houses 120 of 'em. They also do a great job of keeping dust away from the games.

Yeah, my NES, N64 and SNES carts are stored much in the same way Whimsical Phil's is. The cases stack rather nicely and you can get a bunch of em at Wal Mart for like $11 each. Also, check out: http://www.longislandmediastorage.com - they have some big shelves for storing CDs/DVDs/games. I got one of them that seems to do the trick really nicely.
