Could be good. I'll check it out.
Actually not really woke at all. It was a passable action movie that you can probably throw on in the background or something, not much to think about, few cool fight scenes, few "that's dumb" moments, felt like a weird "New Orleans Vice" at times. Certainly better than that garbage "The Old Guard", more in line with "Extraction".anyone watch this shit? how woke was it
Hmm prob like one screecher out of 5. Nothing really. It as a decent movie too. I like the premise and some of the powersanyone watch this shit? how woke was it
I hated the cinematography.....had some really weird camera framing issues like the operator put the camera down for lunch and they shot the scene before they got backI watched it on Friday. It's the most Hollywood-esque movie that Netflix has ever produced in terms of its cinematography, visual effects, and the quality of its actors. However, like most of Netflix's other original movies, its screenplay is pedestrian, as it's structured around tropes (e.g. the government experimenting on citizens, a lone father searching for his daughter, etc). Hence, I rate it as follows:
1. Cinematography: 8.5/10
2. Visual Effects: 7.5/10
2. Acting: 8/10
2. Action: 5/10
3. Screenplay: 4/10
Final Score: [(8.5 + 7.5 + 8 + 5 + 4)/5]/10 = [33/5]/10 = 6.6/10

I found the acting of Jamie Foxx, Jason Gordon Levit, and Dominique Fishback to be very good. Hence, since the majority of the movie's runtime is divided between them, I based my rating for the movie's acting mainly on their performances.I think the acting from the two famous leads was pretty good, but all the secondary characters were awful. And the movies villains were some of the worst / most boring I’ve ever seen on screen.
Acting should be a 6 IMO.
Otherwise I agree with your above methodology.
The camera framing seemed professional to me. Perhaps you're not used to the 2:1 aspect ratio.I hated the cinematography.....had some really weird camera framing issues like the operator put the camera down for lunch and they shot the scene before they got back
Huh, interesting way of rating movies. But what does "Action" mean? Why not music?I watched it on Friday. Action refers to the action sequences, which are important for this movie since it's an action movie. As for audio, I was going to include a rating for it, but I concluded that the movie probably required a 5.1 channel audio setup, which I don't have, and that therefore it wouldn't be fair for me to judge the audio; it was muffled and unbalanced to me, which is how 5.1 channel audio sounds when I play it through my stereo system.Huh, interesting way of rating movies. I don't agree. She convincingly exhibits fear and vulnerability when Art abducts her and when she's traversing the supermarket as he instructs her to do. She emotes nervousness and uncertainty as she walks through the supermarket, and she speaks with an appropriate lack of conviction when speaking to the supermarket worker.Dominique Fishback has exactly one acting technique and it’s ‘strong independent womyn, oh noes! oppression! Oh noes! the system! Sad fishface woh is me’.
I wouldn’t even call her a character so much as a walking stereo type.
That can work if the stereotype is interesting and you sell it. But it’s not and she doesn’t.

I agree. Grace Randolph said she was the best thing in the movie. My friend and I agree. She was the MVP of the whole movie! She is the linchpin of the story.
And Weiji ... Why are you concerned about her weight? She's an actual CHILD! She wasn't written to be a supermodel.
And she isn't even fat! She has a chubby face. That's it. If you actually watched the movie, you'd see that, especially in the end when she got the package from the trunk.
Did you just....SEXUALIZE A CHILD???I agree. Grace Randolph said she was the best thing in the movie. My friend and I agree. She was the MVP of the whole movie! She is the linchpin of the story.

According to Google, the actress who portrayed her is 29 years old.
Yea, she does.Black don't crack. She really looks like an actual 14 year old!
How many channels does your sound system have? I have a simple stereo system (Logitech speakers with 30Watt subwoofer) and the audio sounded muffled to me, which has led me to believe that it's comprised of more than two channels.Fox and Gordon-Levitt were solid, the cinematography/effects/audio were quite well done and crisp but the overall movie was pretty average. It's not something I'd watch again.

Well, I don't know what the problem was.I was listening on stereo headphones last night. Astro A10s plugged into an elite 2 controller with the Xbox stereo adapter specifically. No audio issues here.
Is ok!
the vfx are pretty good, the fire guy is one of the best I ever seen
