Neverness to Everness (NTE) |OT| Gacha Theft Anime

I was trying to free up some space on my 1TB SSD as I can't upgrade or add another drive right now and set my page file to a 10GB max, and dang, NTE really didn't like that at all (every other non‑UE5 game worked fine). Guess it's back to using the system managed size, which bumps my page file to 40GB+. My system RAM is 32GB and my GPU's VRAM 16GB.

Pretty much done with everything. How do i start this quest? And i did read here something about hidden quest in a school i believe?

Hot damn, CN is not messing around. Lacrimosa's hyped in JP too, so I'm expecting her banner to put up some good numbers next week. Ofc, the Porsche collab will contribute to the sales too.

Bonus, here's a Hotori cosplay by oniisuna.

Практически всё сделано. Как мне начать этот квест? И я читал здесь что-то о скрытом квесте в школе, кажется?

zzooYQiDTgSApjFo.jpg
Подождите до следующего реального дня. Возможно, скрытый квест называется "Одинокий игрок".

Finally hit city level 30 and grabbed Chiz's Awakening 2. Need 4M fons to get her next dupe at tycoon rank 33, but I'll get there slowly but surely.

The second quest sucks, dont remember how i unlocked it, try interact with the lamp and talk to the NPC.
The school has an anomally comission where you need to solve a bunch of puzzles surounding wooden manequins and other misterious stuff. I tryed to solve everething by myself but thers a few puzzles that are very hard without a guide, especially the musical one where i could never have solved it by myself. If you like puzzle solving without many hints i suggest trying to solve as much as you can by urself, if not thers guides on youtube to solve them all.

I'm really curious to see if the story will improve in version 1.1. Since it was written so recently. Or if we'll stick with the same quality as in version 1.0.

Welp, I rolled the gacha and ended up getting the MC outfit on pull 13 and the Porsche on pull 15, lol. Wish it had gone a little better, but oh well. I think I'll be pulling for Lacrimosa later today.

I got the suit at pull 8 , it said fuck it and kept pulling for the car, got it at 14. I have no fons left and I had to spend some gems, oh well.
I'm not pulling for the girl so I figured why not.

Man my pulls were BRUTAL today. Not that many in number, but watching that dice fuck me over time and again was pure pain. I was sitting at 65 pity, but it took me until pull #86 to get Lacrimosa. I even went into the right "bonus zone" on the dice map where every other space was Lacrimosa S rank card, and I rolled 3 times in there and missed each and every one.

Well anyways, I got her eventually, I like her flying bat mechanic, kinda fun. Now I can try out the bottom of the reaction wheel, so I'll hold off on buying Daffodil from the shop.

I did 6 pulls so far on the Porsche banner with Fons, seeing if I could luck into anything early, but nah, just the avatard frame. Getting 10 avacado cores for like a 500,000 fons roll chapped my ass so bad. Why is that even in the fucking pool?

Then I'm already angry from both of those things, I had to farm beetle coins from the Houdini node, and I must have bumped right on my dpad and ended up farming 240 stamina on the level 1 node for like 14k Coins per run instead of the 108k I am capable of getting. Didn't realize it until I tried to level a skill and I saw the measly amount of Beetle Coins in my account.

Angry Csi GIF

This is one of those days I just log off and say "fuck you and I'll see you tomorrow" to this game.

Quick update: my luck turned for the better when I rolled for Lacrimosa and got her in about 35 pulls, so I really can't complain about how the gacha went today as I've still have around 100 pulls left (more if we also count the warp exchange currency), which I'll save for version 1.2+. I might go for her weapon later on, but I haven't fully decided yet.

I did only 4 pulls on the porsche event and nothing this whole event seems to be way too expensive. And 10 for lacrimosa also nothing. I have enough pulls for the dragon girl. And that the only one i want right now.

As expected, NTE reached top 2 on the iOS sales charts in Japan. There's still around an hour of updates left, so maybe it'll climb to #1, though it'll be difficult. Still, very strong debut for Lacrimosa & the Porsche collab in JP!

It's sad I don't ike this game, literally got the first character (Nanally?) in the first multi, I only played for 30 minutes but logged everyday to get free pulls. Today I did 2 multi and got the Lacrimosa costume in the first one and Lacrimosa in the second one. The other gacha I really play usually need to pull until pity :messenger_loudly_crying:

Seems like we'll be getting additional compensation tomorrow/today (depending on your time zone): Fabricated Dice ×10 and Floe Cinema Ticket ×3, due to the bugs in this new version.

Edit: Tbh, I can live with the shitty RNG on the standard banner when the limited banners treat me like this. Pulled Lacrimosa's signature weapon in the very first 10 pull!

Threw around 50pulls at the Lacrimosa banner, so far no dice. 2mil fons on the Porsche banner also fruitless. I'll keep throwing money at it during it's runtime, then finish with gems if needed. Will prolly get the bat later too. Do we know what the 1.2 banners are?

Bagel was a mistake

love this new app already
Some of the posts are funny, but they didn't think this Twitter‑like feature through or the event attached to it. Getting likes is pretty difficult, and some of the limited rewards feel kinda unreachable. I checked my own posts and I've only received 38 likes and 53 views across 3 photos. I've even seen people who posted 5 screenshots and got 0 likes on all of them.

Since the default sort is "recommended", I'm assuming most players never switch to latest/new, so the same popular posts keep getting boosted. Now brb, going to hand out some likes on the new page, lol.

Got a copy of Hathor yesterday from blue dice. Happy with that.

Haven't started any of the new content yet, tried the racingevent and the game immediately crashed. Just played something else after that.

Just realised Porsche pricing scales for both currencies. It's joever...

Hope you get her in the next 10 pull, man. 🤞🤞 About the 1.2 banners, they're Shinku and Iroi, if the latest leaks are to be believed. I should have enough pulls to go for both of them, but I'll most likely only pull for Shinku.

Also yeah, it was mentioned earlier when the Porsche collab went live in CN that it scales off both currencies, so the "best" way is fons until like pull 11, then swap to annulith. That's what I did anyway.

I'll go for Iroi too then, already getting Shinku at home (Endfield). Time to earn some Fons.

Edit: I mean I'll get Shinku, damn I should get more sleep haha

Looks like Perfect World had a Q&A with investors earlier today regarding NTE's performance: https://static.cninfo.com.cn/finalpage/2026-06-04/1225352382.PDF

Here's an AI translation via Gemini (I've highlighted some of the parts in the Q&A that I found interesting):

I forgot about this part:

Company Recent Status:

The company's key product NTE launched its global open beta in April 2026 (p. 1). Featuring an ultra-natural urban open-world theme and rich urban management gameplay, it has achieved outstanding market performance (p. 1). Recently, NTE initiated its first major version update after the open beta, breaking new historical records on both domestic and international iOS bestseller lists (p. 1). This has further validated the long-term operational logic of the game, drawing high attention from the market (p. 1).

On May 28, 2026, the Chinese server of NTE took the lead in launching the Version 1.1 update "Dream Weaving Corridor," propelling it to 5th place on the iOS game bestseller list and setting a single-day gross revenue record since its launch (p. 1). On June 3, 2026, the overseas and Hong Kong/Macau/Taiwan versions updated to Version 1.1 simultaneously (p. 1). The Japanese server topped the iOS game bestseller list and rose to 2nd place on the overall iOS bestseller list (p. 1). The South Korean server jumped to 4th place on the iOS game bestseller list (p. 1). Single-day total gross revenue across overseas and Hong Kong/Macau/Taiwan regions exceeded 100 million RMB (~15M USD), continuing to set new highs (p. 1). The company communicated with the market regarding the recent status of the game, with details as follows (p. 1).

Q&A:
Q1: The performance of the NTE Version 1.1 update is quite good. What are the highlights in terms of commercialization?
(p. 1)

A1: NTE is built on long-term thinking, prioritizing user retention and player reputation (p. 1). It continuously polishes the product experience, laying a good active user base (pp. 1-2).

The Version 1.1 update introduced the popular character pool "Requiem (Lacrimosa)" and outfits (p. 2). At the same time, it launched the "Porsche 918 Spyder" crossover vehicle and skins (p. 2). Outside of the traditional character gacha pool, it successfully expanded the consumption scenarios for urban management gameplay (p. 2). On the day of the Version 1.1 update, gross revenue both domestically and internationally broke single-day highs since launch (p. 2). This validated NTE's commercialization logic of "Anime/ACG + Urban Management," showcasing promising long-term potential for the product (p. 2).

Q2: How is the progress of mobile optimization for NTE? (p. 2)

A2: The project team is continuously optimizing mobile performance to provide players with a better gaming experience (p. 2). Meanwhile, the cloud gaming version, Cloud · NTE, has officially launched on Android and iOS platforms (p. 2). Players can also enjoy high-graphic, high-frame-rate gaming experiences through Cloud · NTE(p. 2).

Q3: What is the distribution share of large-screen terminals for NTE? (p. 2)

A3: The share of large screens for NTE both domestically and internationally continues to remain at a relatively high level (p. 2). Using gross revenue contribution as the statistical metric, up to now, domestic PC accounts for around 60%, and overseas PC + PS console accounts for around 70% (p. 2).

Q4: Which overseas regions are the main revenue contributors for NTE? What work has been done for overseas publishing? (p. 2)

A4: NTE has performed well in major overseas regions such as Japan, South Korea, North America, and Europe (p. 2). Its performance is particularly stellar in the Japanese market, which is the stronghold for anime/ACG games (p. 2). The Version 1.1 update pushed the Japanese server to top the iOS game bestseller list and jump to 2nd place on the overall iOS bestseller list (p. 2). Furthermore, since its launch, NTE has consistently ranked among the top positions on the Japanese PS game bestseller list (p. 2).

The vast majority of overseas regions for NTE, including Japan, South Korea, Europe, and America, are self-published by our company (p. 2). The company adopts differentiated publishing strategies tailored to local conditions across various regions (p. 2). Through refined local operations and diverse multi-platform promotion plans, we help the game achieve strong results (p. 2). Since launch, the gross revenue contribution of NTE from overseas has exceeded that of the domestic market, making its global performance highly commendable (p. 2). The company will continue to deeply cultivate the overseas market for NTE to open up new prospects for our game export business (p. 2).

Q5: What is the overall marketing and promotion investment situation for NTE, and what are the recognition principles for revenue and expenses? (p. 2)

A5: The company focuses on the differentiated characteristics and high-quality content of NTE (p. 2). We adapt multi-dimensional marketing methods covering platforms like TapTap, Bilibili, Douyin (TikTok China), Google, Meta, X, and TikTok (p. 2). We boost the game's strong performance through offline experiences, brand crossovers, creator livestreams, online traffic acquisition, refined community operations, and player fan-creation incentives (p. 2).

New games usually concentrate intensive marketing activities during the early stages of their release (p. 2). Related marketing expenses are recognized all at once in the period they occur (p. 2). Top-up gross revenue is recognized as revenue over the player's life cycle (p. 2). Therefore, temporary structural mismatches between revenue and expenses may occur during the initial launch phase of the game (p. 2).

As a key product of the company, the company will prioritize and continuously guarantee the input of talent, resources, and other aspects for NTE (p. 3). At the same time, we will dynamically adjust marketing investments based on product version pacing and other factors to support long-term operations (p. 3).

Q6: NTE broke the phenomenon of "the first day of launch being the absolute peak of revenue." How does the company view the sustainability of revenue, and what is the subsequent commercialization plan? (p. 3)

A6: Developing NTE into a long-lasting, evergreen product with deep IP accumulation and sustainable growth is the company's clear product strategy (p. 3). Looking at the current situation, NTE possesses a clear first-mover advantage in the anime/ACG urban open-world segment (p. 3). The company will maintain steady investments, continuously refine product content, boost player reputation and user retention, and solidify the game's long-term foundation (p. 3). On top of the traditional character gacha system, we will further explore urban gameplay and other commercialization methods to progressively grow it into our company's flagship benchmark for evergreen games (p. 3).

Well, sadly the low quality high cost Porsche collab set a record, so expect more of that in the future. I was kinda hoping the whales in Asia would hold their purse strings just for a few days at least, but welp.

Was expecting more quests from this update. Thers only 1 quest, its a main quest and it takes about 2h to complete. Then thers some side fetch quests/puzzles in the island and its done. 100% the island and all the game content in a afternoon.

Seems like the only thing left is the boring ass grind for the consoles and tetris pieces that make me want to stop playing the game. Fucking hell, just give me a fucking currency ot item to reroll the stats and substats you fucking morons. Every time i look at the amount of tetris pieces in my inventory im like, nop, not even gonna take a peek at that.

Did 2 pulls on the Porsche slot machine, and got the Porsche in my 1st pull... i mean the Porsche namecard, and some tickets to gift. Not spending any single fon more in this crap.

Im skipping Lacrimosa, i have 91 red dice but im saving them for 1.2. By the end of Lacrimosa banner i will throw whatever red dice i have above 90 on her banner to see if im lucky with a early drop, unless they leak the 1.2 characters and i want both chars from the 1.2. Lacrimosa is not really a character i want.

Those cloud versions are china exklusive? I didnt even try to install it on my phone.

China only. For Global there's GeForce Now as a cloud option (not sure how well that works on mobile).

No touch controls, so yeah, no bueno for mobile unless you connect a controller.

Hmm… maybe I was a bit too harsh on the event tied to Bagel. Today's contributions on the European server just refreshed, and I'm already at 14/18 for the limited time rewards. I could've been at 15/18, but I was too lazy to follow 15 users on Bagel as I just wanted to post photos.

Speaking of which, I'm sitting at 121 likes on my uploads so far. For views, I'm at 643, and I need 1k for the final limited reward. After that, it's just grinding for jams, which aren't only about posting photos and getting engagement. You also earn jams by interacting on Bagel, like liking and commenting on other people's posts.

After i clean the event rewards i doubt i ever engage with the bagel again, but i have found the ocasional hilarious pic there.

I tried uploading a noir shot to Bagel using one of the filters, but for some reason it uploaded with a red tint.

The original screenshot looks completely fine. I took several shots using the same filter and every one of them uploaded with the red tint, despite the originals looking normal.

Seems like it might be some kind of bug. Has anyone else run into this?

How do you get "Praise Jams' on the Bagel event? I've gotten a bunch of likes, follower, and views, but I still have zero Praise Jams, and the game doesn't really say how to get them.

Might be in the minority here but I think it's at least something to spend fons on. Don't really want/need any of the remaining apartments/cars anyways. Could be cheaper though, yeah.

I don't hate it in principle, but there are a few things that really bugs me about it.
  • Fons should be less overall since you're essentially gimping your progress in other in-game Fons sinks, maybe more gradual increase per pull as well.
  • Useless items like 100k beetle coins and the avacados need to fuckin' go. At least bump up the number of beetle coins by a lot or give us the boss material selector boxes instead of avacados.
  • Better weighting of the gacha %s so it's not always pulls 14 and 15 to get the actual good stuff. I don't mean like absurdly high rates, but maybe like 5% or so starting at pull 6, going up to 35% at pull 12ish.
  • Red Dice for either the 3 or 5 dice drops, the 10 can remain blue dice.
It can be both a (more fair) moneymaker for Hotta as well as something that doesn't just show contempt for the playerbase at the same time. I'm just asking for some adjustments.

But again, since they recorded the highest revenue ever, you can kiss any chance of changes goodbye, unless it's changes for the worse.

Sounds good, yeah. We'll see though, depending on how the game will perform in the future, it could turn into a way for them to entice players instead, with better rewards I mean. The 3d gacha space is getting more and more crowded right.

Ok but how do you accrue them? Or do they just shovel out a random amount every server reset?
I think is based on the interactions you have and likes views u get. But some of that is automated for ppl that dosent want to engage with it they still get likes and views. Then whatever calculation they do it translate in Praise gems.

If we were 3-6 months into the game and they released the event with minor pool adjustments, it'd be fine. But the first version update of the game with those prices and rewards...

But yea, I hope they adjust it and do it again. Collabs are always good for helping grow the playerbase.

Guess I'll see at reset what I get. I didn't do anything with it the first day, so this will be my first opportunity.

Looks like they're going to do HoYo-style drip marketing for future characters. This pretty much guarantees her for 1.2.

Funny enough, I just logged in and was greeted with about 2500~ Jams. Good stuff, sounds easy enough. I did miss your post earlier, thanks for the review.

I'm wondering what they're going to do with people that are using mods and posting it on Bagel. I've already seen some pretty out-there stuff, like one of the girls with slut writing all over their bodies. They supposedly are doing a cursory or automated review before posting them. It has to be either AI or automated review if all that stuff is making it by, or else Hotta is basically saying "we're cool with mods" in the most literal of terms.

Used the dice I got from the Bagel event and bought a few at the Bagel shop, landed on a generic gold chest at 50~ pity and holy shit, lo-and-behold...
Yjr9OP6jTqXFx9di.jpg

Can't believe it! I almost wasted 720 of the gold currency on her just a few days ago. This eases the sting on my recent bad luck in this game, good stuff.

Congrats on getting Daffodill, man! Regarding the mods, I haven't noticed any on the European Bagel app (unless I've just missed them), but I've seen screenshots on twitter showing modded characters. I think there's a report option, and Hotta staff will manually review those posts that get reported by other players (or at least that's how it should normally work, but they might be using AI for it too). Still, it's pretty dumb. If you're going to mod, at least don't post it publicly…

Looks like CN got the option to make the Porsche convertible, and apparently Global got it with today's update as well. I'll check it out once I'm done with work.

Porsche 918, it looks like the roof can be removed, huh? 🤔

It's already implemented in the Chinese version, and apparently, with just one button press, you can switch it to open-top mode.

Plus, no extra fons are needed.

Edit: Full patch notes:
