Xbox 360 and PC so far. Since this is 720p it could be the Xbox 360 version.cyberheater said:Yep. Looks great.

edit;
cars don't have shadows in that last screen :|
Must be a coincidence I captured right at the bad time, because this small sequence actually show the shadows changing with the sun position. At least it shows it's realtime I guessTimen said:cars don't have shadows in that last screen :|
The first 2 shots are screen captures done by Remedy. Everything else is from the trailer. Even with HDTV videos, the compression is still very noticeable when you do screengrabs like I did. Watch the HDTV video, it looks way beyond anything we have ever played to this day.Borys said:And here comes my daily question for Blimblim:
the first shot and the fourth shot show basically the same exact scene. The first one looks way better than the fourth one, why is that? Is the trailer low-res (not HD)?
It's the same situation as with Test Drive shots - incoherent media.

Borys said:To be frank the last four shots are awful. Ass textures, ass shadowing and ass-like jaggies. About 6 low-poly cars on the road without any shadowing, 2D trees (sprites) in the distance... I could go on and on forever.
Looks no better than San Andreas for PC and I dare even say it looks worse than SA (especially the last shot).

I don't include Killzone, because we REALLY don't know if it was realtime.Reilly said:even moreso than the Killzone video?

EDIT: nm, the low res one ran pretty smooth
X850 XL was the graphics card. Other then that, Probably like an AMD 4000 or PENTIUM 4 660.seismologist said:what kind of system was this running on at E3?
Yeah it looks really bad in the trailer. But maybe ingame we won't ever fly from one point to another. If we just stay on the ground the LOD distance will be good enough. Just my guess.jimbo said:Those screens look fantastic but I need to go ahead and nitpick at one thing that's really been bugging me this generation too. The LOD 2D trees in the distance. I have no problem using this technique in games...but it needs to be pushed back further into the distance where I can't tell they are 2D. I understand we don't have the kind of power to have a gazillion fully rendered trees including the ones in the distance and need to be replaced by lower poly models, but the placement of these trees in accordance with the viewing distance is not yet good enough. Push them back to where I can't tell and I'll be happy.
This is my only complaint. Other than that, the game looks fantastic.
Trespasser had a lot of good idea, but awful execution.border said:Haha....does anyone remember Jurassic Park: Trespasser, where sprites would turn in to polygonal objects when you were about 25 feet in front of them?
