Did you ever see the video that shows how it looks when you walk around? It's actually pretty neat and looks much better than the static GC version.

As 0wned said, it just looks gorgeous in motion. I wasn't too sure about the new perspective either from the screens, but when you see a movie...definite improvement. Pretty unique looking too, as far as I'm aware.

Oh and there's a Mario hat too. Though I guess we could have predicted that.

The perspective looks off in screens because the towns are actually on little spheres that you traverse.

at least that what i was able to gather from vids I've seen.

Same story here. My wife is constantly hogging the DS playing Zoo Keeper. She says it's because it's the only game she's ever been better than me at. We're constantly battling back and forth between high scores. She's ran away with it now though.

I'm not questioning your integrity or anything whatsoever, but whenever I see comments like that, I always wonder if some people aren't just being total weird-asses and completely making up the fact that they have a wife :lol

I can just see some 14 year old kid at home carrying on similar conversations :lol

Anyway, cannot wait for this game one bit. I hope they pull out all the stops and exceed expectations in providing an incredibly communicational game. I wonder how they'll do shared 'hoods, though.... if you wanted to share a neighborhood with someone on another system and game, you'd have to be playing at the same time, otherwise problems would occur when players played in that neighborhood offline, say two people plant a tree in the same place. I don't think sharing neighborhoods online is going to be a possibility

Well the ds.ign.com is a cropped one of just the footage shown from the GDC (and it's not bad quality IMHO) and then they do have a direct feed version of Animal Crossing DS that's not very long in length from a couple of months ago. Gamespot may have more/better footage?

IGN has the Animal Crossing footage separate, meaning you don't have to watch the entire live feed just to see this game.
