New Apartment Yay! RIGHT?!?!

Just moved out yesterday to the new place. Its weird having my own place, no roommates, no nothing. Im mostly trying to force myself to enjoy it. However I feel uneasy about all of it for some reason.

HOWEVER, I took some pics. One is of my entertainment furniture and my living room setup and my awesome view out back. For years ive looked at the parking lot from my patio. NO LONGER! Ive also found I can actually play games by having them in another room. Internet kills gameplay time so much.

Nice place MAF.

Congrats!

Worse thing about getting a new place is making it as comfortable as the previous one and filling the newly acquired empty spaces with things that won't look out of place.

"JJJJJJJJJJJJJJJOOOOOOOOOOOOOOIIIIIIIIIIN UUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS!"

Yeah, I roomed with someone last apartment so basically had to stretch a room through an entire apartment. Thankfully some friends donated some furniture. Rox!

Jeez, what a freakin' dump.

Just kidding! Hey, you've got a damn forest surrounding you. That rocks. Except at nighttime, when you know not what lurks in the dark depths.

Actually its just a green belt, but its pretty dense. Also the windows dont face east or west so it barely gets hot in here at all, which is nice.

My apt. looks out at the parking lot. I don't mind, I can look out at the cars going in and out while on the balcony. The other place I lived in had a view of the pool. That was sweet, well some of the time.

Dude, my new apartment is awesome, too. But I don't have any pictures yet. :(

My view also faces a dense greenbelt though!

Is that a studio?

How much are you paying per month?

pardon me kindly shopkeeper, but at what price would ye be asking for that fine old casting of dreams machine?

What does this mean?

it's cool that your apartment has a fireplace. get some ladies in front of it and stop buying shitty shit like star ocean 3.

congrats, roommates blow.

$700 a month is really, really cheap. that is welfare housing cost more than that around here. :x

you'd be nuts to buy a house right now.
LOL.

and you're banking on interest rates dropping soon?

or prime real estate to magically appear. LOL.

buy one that needs a bit of work in a good location.

presuming you have some $$$ available for a deposit, don't plan to move out of the area for a few years and can handle the payment it is something to consider sooner than later.

now if you're banking $$$ in anticipation of home ownership in the near future then that is reasonable but in 3 years as a rental you'll be in the same situation.

I dont want a home, but if I did I wouldnt buy now. Id wait some years.

As for my apartment setup. yeah getting stuff unpacked n stuff is a bitch. I was up till 2am yesterday building furniture. I also noticed the last guys cable is still on and until MY internet service is setup im browsing and chatting on a wirelss network in the area ;)

Gaming and dling will have to wait, but GAF is nice to have around.

The chair was an awesome donation from great friends. It is the second most comfortable thing on the planet. There's a couch I know of that's 10 times more comfortable.

AND YES MEMORIES OF ICE ROX! Props to Drinky Crow for recommending the books and lending me them as well ;)

I would kill to be able to pay just $700 a month with utilities. I live in Santa Clarita, CA, BTW.

Anyway, Looks good. I don't have or want a great deal of furniture so I don't mind the open space.

Why would I sell my dreamcast?!?!

Its a 1bed 1bath, 700 a month including utilities n whatnot. WA is expensive.

Are you still in the Mill Creek area?

We pay $985 (all utilities included) to live in the basement of a house on the top of Queen Anne Hill across from Kerry Park. While not a photo from our living room, this is basically the view from our itty bitty windows
