Looks good. I like some of the cinematic effects used. I also like the effects used in the battle engine. Though, the character art is....interesting. I also think the interaction looks weird..you have both characters facing eachother at an angle onscreen (as if it was an SNES game with sprites).
Yeah it's kinda weird how they went for a 2d like representation of the characters when they are 3d. It's still a very common presentation for all recent 2d adventure/hentai games in Japan though.BlueTsunami said:

How is localization of Xbox games in general? I know the PS2 a couple of 3 party companies to localize games but i'm not sure on the Xbox (which would also encompass the 360) front.

The game does seem a tad degraded. It may be the video itself but i'm wondering if to keep the game down to one disk (instead of the 2 disks and beyond that the developers themself inicially reported) that the IQ of the game itself may have gone down...
I wouldn't be surprised at all if this game wasn't released outside Japan. Just the way the dialogs are handled will make this game really hard to export, not even mentioning some debatable characters in the game. I have *nothing* against gay people (please let's not start a debate about this), but the outrageously gay character in this game got on my nerves in just a few seconds while playing the TGS demo, horribly annoying voice. I really doubt such a character would be acceptable in the US.PG2G said:

I can already imagine the voice that would be used for such a character and yes, the character would probably be seen as inflamitory and some orginazation would demonize this game because of it (in the US)

I'm with m0dus on this one. When I first read that From was doing an RPG for 360 I was pretty excited expecting something similar to the Otogi visual style. Every screen and video though has just screamed stunningly generic JRPG. Like the Ziria remake, EM looks like a gussied-up PS2 game (hell, it probably was a PS2 game at some point).
Sorry for bumping but nobody mentioned the fact that characters from previous FromSoft Xbox games will be featured in eM as golems;
