New ES4:Oblivion Video

The music and voice acting sound great. I think this game could be huge if it was given an FF7 style ad campaign.

It already had a decent amount of ads (print and signs, and cabs even) before the delay, so one can only hope.

Looks great. This is the kind of content that has me interested in next-gen, seeing as I don't have enough money to get a pc to play this.

I'm on it, cheers!

/edit. Where did they get all that new footage, and how come it wasn't released by Bethesda? Anyway, the game looks amazing...yeah it has bad animation, but that seems to be about the only bad thing. Everything else looks great, and the scale of some of those locations is immense. I'll have to say good bye to a social life after this game is released.

that elf talking to you on the bridge looks EXACTLY like Colin ferril. Well, other than the ears.

Gooooooogle ads? is a fishing site?
Megaupload sucks, but I'm not the one who uploaded the file there. At least you are getting a better quality version than these awful youtube swf files.

I notice the cat and lizard people have human handsÂ… That looks really bizarre.
I hope they make the hands more species appropriate. Because I don't want to play a lizard with human handsÂ… that would be disgusting.

Such a gorgeous looking game, and the combat look so much better than Morrowind. The animation is about what I would expect from a game of this type and scale.

Can't wait to see the modding tools the devs provide. Considering what people made for morrowind, i think Oblivion will be the most modded game to date if the devs make it easy.

Wow the character models look generic and uninspiring. The animation is awful. I think you guys are hyping yourselves for another disappointment.

The last one was incredible, technical problems aside. I think you need to move along.

So because MW animation was beyond shit; the series must now stay in a perpetual state of tacky animations?

No, I'm saying that compared to the animation in ES3, Oblivion is a huge improvement. This is Bethesda we're talking about, not Capcom.

I got bored as hell of the first one (i think i got lost or something...) but I'm still buying this game :)

I may be biased but at least I'm not wrong!

Saying the animation is bad is one thing, but trying to bash the game based on graphics that's just silly.

He's actually bashing the graphics, not the game. He says "look" not "play".

Anyway, I do agree that animations basically destroy the credibility they are trying to achieve with those pretty textures. It looks so artificial despite the effort. And the frame rate is hilarious.

But yeah, looks like the game should be good.

The animation is actually pretty significantly updated from Morrowind. It looks quite a bit more believable than the prior games. Kudos.

Another disappointment? What was the last one? Morrowind? Stop being an asshat.

I hope this comes to PS3 someday or I'll have to buy a 360 for one game!

Just get the pc version, you won't believe the modding. I remember there was one morrowind mod that someone made that was better than one of the official expansions bethsheda made.

Without mods morrowind wouldn't have been as good. Some great mods i used in morrowind.

1. Difficulty mod. An essential mod for later in the game It basically let you set how much damage you would take. Alot of poeple starting in morrowind complained about the Cliff birds always killing you(i never had a problem with them) so with the mod you could limit the damage from them until you had some better equip or skills. Later in the game my character was too powerful, and my items way too powerful, i could kill anything almost without trying. I turned up the difficulty allowing me to use my most powerful items and spells without the game being too easy.

2. Items, wow people made alot of items. Armour, weapons, clothes, tons and tons of stuff.

3. Huge mods. Really more like expansion packs. New areas, missions, pretty much new everything.

I remember one mod that put a zoo in one of the cities. It wasn't pretty, but it was cool having one of every enemy in the game in it's own cage for you to look at close up.

Plus remember the horror of the xbox morrowind save file deleting bugs, i wouldn't rush to buy Oblivion for a console. I'd wait a month at least for bugs to pop up and get fixed.

I remember the Morrowind mod that added a couple of dropped conventions from Daggerfall, such as a bank in the major towns! Not to mention that it restored Daggerfall-like functionality to the temples and inns. Good stuff.

Well, you can't mod anything, but there's no limit to what Bethesda can put on Xbox Live. I mean, saying the console version of what is again the biggest RPG ever is too small is insane.

One of my favorite mods in morrowind was this one. Plus some of the other face mods that guy did. It replaced the original ugly ones with much much more detail ones (and much more pretty in a lot of cases).

Yeah, Morrowind was all about the mods and I'm sure Oblivion will have just as much support.

I think some of the faces on the character models are still ugly and the animation looks hit and miss. However, the environments really do look gorgeous and it's a shame I don't have a PC capable of running it in high detail. Not gonna buy a 360 for one game, either.

But I shall play it some day.
