US TV network Fox has confirmed the storyline that will be featured in the premiere episode of a new season of Family Guy.

The once-cancelled show is scheduled to return to Fox on May 1 after proving to be highly successful on DVD release and on Cartoon Network's Adult Swim programming block.

A press release from Fox reveals the plot details of the new season's first episode:

"Peter decides to take Lois on a second honeymoon. But when things go awry, they end up posing as a famous actor/director to stay in his fancy hotel suite, where they inadvertently discover a copy of The Passion of the Christ 2: Crucify This. Peter and Lois attempt to destroy the film and end up in a high-speed chase with two Catholic priests hell-bent on saving the movie."

Haha, I have to wonder if there is actually anyone that would be upset at having a Family Guy plot spoiled. Better to be safe than sorry I suppose.

Anyway it sounds good, I've been in hilarious animation withdraw ever since Futurama ended.

This is GAF. Even though there are spoiler tags that you actually have to click and drag in order to read, someone will bitch that there are no spoiler warnings in the title.

Always something to complain about.

I guess I was just hoping for something more fresh, I'm sure it will still be funny though. After all, it is Family Guy.

Why is Hollywood so Hellbent on spoofing
The Passion of the Christ
? It has gotten boring.
I don't know. Why are they still so hellbent on spoofing Titanic and Star Wars?
