depends how dense the cat's hairs are.

they will help a bit with hairs that really fly/float around easily from cats with a semi-long or long downy undercoat (persians, himalayans, maine coons, siberians, etc).

but if you have a short haired cat who sheds a lot yet their fur is denser/heavier that it mostly falls to the floor, it's not gonna help you that much. you just need a good old vacuum cleaner.

You're gonna just have to deal with all the cat hair. Feeding good food and grooming their fur helps keep the amount down.
