He's a pretty swell guy in my books anyway.

Click on the second last option and then there are 2 trailers to choose from, the second one is the new one.

From the looks of it there's more to that 8-bit looking RPG than what was shown before, I really want to play this game! Please bring it over S-E!

The graphics look amazing... but I can't understand what the hell I'm really looking at here... so something about an 8-bit RPG and the dude that made it?

Walking looks a bit slow/annoying in this game... but if it does make it here, I'll check it out.

I'm pretty sure I got sick of the idea of horror stories where a video game is involved in some way the instant someone first had the idea, even though I'm an absolute sucker for the motif of harmful sensation.

That said, this game interests me quite a lot, and I'd love to see it come over. I suspect it'd need an absolutely killer localization team to pull it off convincingly, though, and I'm sure it'd flop anyways.

The display being split up between two screens is really quite interesting and in some instances unnerving - sometimes you get a really clear shot of what's around you, but it's obvious that there are other times when you'll have absolutely no idea what's to your right side, and they'll hopefully make good use of that in the game.

The DS ain't dead yet people!

Seems very intriguing although I'm lost as to what's going on, should bring some nice variety to the DS library and some killer graphics to boot. Maybe it's just disgruntled SE employees expressing the nightmare of being forced to make yet another RPG. :lol

What? The DS has barely started.

Well Nintendo seems to have all but abandoned it, leaving third parties to create the great games.

Oh, and in case people feel like a (somewhat halfassed) demo:

Click on A to get to the page where you can click on B to get a little demo of how you use the stylus to move around and interact with things in the exploration mode. I think the actual control in the game will be better (and there we likely be far less graphical glitches), but it's a taste/warning for those interested in the game.

(shame all you can do is walk to the last door and open it - it'd be great if looking down in the hole showed something moving or something like that)

They've released 9 games for it this year (Crosswords, Layton, Advance Wars US only, Soma Bringer, Heracles, Pokemon Ranger 2, BL Training, We Are Fossil Holders, Mario and Sonic DS JPN only) and have 7 confirmed games in development and announced for it (Band Bros DX, Fire Emblem, Kirby, Rhythm Tengoku Gold, Pokemon Platinum, Starfy 5, Wander Donkey).

Wow the walking in that demo was slow. Or maybe I wasn't doing it right. Regardless, I hope this game delivers (and gets an English release).

I thought Square said they were only going to do sequels and remakes from now on. Not that I'm complaining.
S-E Europe's currently evaluating this, Sigma Harmonics and Front Mission 2089, so there's at least a slight chance. Let's keep our fingers crossed...

I love the addition of an old NES style RPG, complete with 8-bit music. Really mixes in well and actually helps add to the mysterious nature of the game. Can't wait to give this one a whirl!

can someone confirm if this game is in any way, shape or form similar to Hotel Dusk room 215?

I need to know this before I get hyped at all.

That sharp "diiiiing!" noise when I clicked on the trailer freaked the crap out of me, and don't get me started on the freaky humming at the end.

Anyway, nice trailer, though the first 20 - 30 seconds had me going WTF for a bit. I thought I followed your instructions incorrectly for a second there. :lol

Its point and click survival horror...

The third trailer is up, I'm officially scared of this game now. I hope it turns out well, we'll find out next week!

...

If there are any impressions that is.

There's a demo on Nintendo's Wii channel from today. Not tried it myself yet, but you'll probably get some Sp0rskpressions later tonight :)
Nice. :D

I got it:

The announcement of Megaman 9 in 8-bit has opened a dimensional rift into a world where onryus and 8-bit games come to life! We're doomed!

Why Capcom why??
