Looks interesting, though I'm not impressed.

There's also some impressions and video at Gamespot: http://www.gamespot.com/xbox/rpg/gauntletworkingtitle/index.html.

Looks OK, though not very Gauntlet-y. I do wonder how many of the multiplatform games that we're seeing now have far better-looking Xbox 360 versions that haven't been revealed yet.

Seems like it's using snowblind's engine

If this was Snowblind's technology being put use, then the game wouldn't crappy visually. Anyhow, this game being nothing but a poor-man Champions of Norrath. In fact, from the video interview IGN has you can clearly tell they're knocking-off Champions of Norrath in everyway. The only thing this has good over Champions, is the sense of combat since its using actual combos.

gauntlet need to go back to is root, swarm or enemys and small character. In general with HDTV eventually becoming more spread, i would like to see the return of the smaller character in big environment. Each time you bigger the main character you kinda remove gameplay possibility.

I agree with this. Still, I'm interested in how this turns out.

So the Snowblind engine can magically create a talented art team? Wow, I did not know that. Anyway, when I see those screens the word "uninspiring" comes to mind.

Please keep Killcreek away from this, alas she has probably already cursed it to sucking.

Romero's Daikatana levels weren't half bad, it was Killcreeks levels that destroyed the game.

I remember the good old days of black and white gauntlet on my friends Mac. I allways played the wizard and he took the axe throwing guy. Good times.
