new GB Micro TV commercials

Anyone know if the 20th anniversary edition of Mario feature anything new inside the box or if it's just a "20th" sticker on the regular Famini box?

Hah, I they're advertising it purely as a portable NES. Forget all thsoe cool GBA games, just play Mario!

I think they're really just trying to stress Mario's 20th Anniversary more. I'm sure Super Robot Taisen J and Screw Breaker will also sell pretty well that month.

What was fun was the commercials that aired a couple weeks ago that didn't do the fade-in to the system. Everyone just stared at it and said, "famicom is 20 years old and nintendo doesn't make it anymore, why are they advertising it for the sake of mario's birthday?"

I like what they did with the recent ads, however. Pretty much everyone in the room (all 20-something girls) seemed at least mildly impressed and interested.

They need to keep pimping Mario, because it brings about nostalgia in all of us. Little kids who don't remember it will probably be buying anything that says "game boy" anyway.

I'm with you on this one. I only have an original GBA (besides my DS) and I can probably sell that and get a Micro for a good $80.

Or I could sell my PSP and get it for free. I'm definitely getting a PSP again, but I'm picking up a white import and hopefully there will be some good releases when I get it next.

I just can't pass up Dr. Mario/Puzzle League, Gunstar Super Heroes, Donkey Kong Country 3, Mega Man Zero 4, Drill Dozer, and a couple others. I can probably hold off on Frantix, SOCOM, and GTA: LCS for a couple months.

Yeah, I really don't mind my DS's size as it fits in my my pockets easily, but the Micro is just so easy to hide. I could play it at work and cover the whole thing with my hand. Or if I actually get caught with it I could hold it up to my ear and pretend it's a cell phone.

I commute too I think a micro would be perfect on the train or bus.

Damn them for shipping two days before TGS... NO WAY to resist it on that trip!! And Tetris Attack!!! AHHHHHHHHHHHH

Or in the classroom. ;) Damn, that's my main reason for picking up a Micro. So easy to get away with in a classroom.

Wow that screen is so nice looking. I can't wait until the next Gameboy or DS have a screen that is larger but with that same quality as the micro posseses.

If I bought micro, that'd make it my gameboy #5 (pocket, color, gba,sp) (sixth Nintendo portable if u count the DS... seventh if we think about console-that-shall-not-be named the VB)

What about you? I must be the person with the least amount of GBs :D

I had a clear (WE NEED ANOTHER FUCKING SEE-THROUGH (sp?) COLOR, NINTENDO!), original Game Boy that broke when my mom put it in the same bag as the salad dressing. You don't want to know how that turned out. :(

Then I got a blue Pocket soon after. That thing looked cool for its time.

Upgraded to a Color a bit late for my birthday. It was a Japanese Teal color that released in Japan before America. This store was apparently an import store. Too bad they went under. I would have gotten Ouendan and Jump! Super Stars from them.

Received an Indigo GBA as a gift back when it came out and decided not to upgrade to an SP because I was waiting for the new generation of Game Boy to come out.

Bought my DS on launch day and my interest in handheld games has increased drastically because of it.

No one else then Nintendo can milk the cow like they do!.

They will probably re-release all mario games in a special "micro" version, which have one extra stage, or something hehe :D

I swear that at work I loaded those pages. Here at home I still see last week's update! I've even cleared my browser's cache!
polg am cry! :'(
