Just announced at the Future Games Show. The game will be based on the original 1978 Halloween movie. John Carpenter is serving as the executive producer. The game is developed by Gun, the same team who created Friday the 13th and Killer Klowns From Outer Space. This game will feature both a single player mode with a story and cutscenes, along with a multiplayer mode. Everything will be true to the original movie including the music. Should be released next year. Great day for horror fans!

Friday the 13th was awesome. Always prefer it way more than dead by daylight as I'm Friday the 13th there's more than 4 humans and you mess around and is far less competitive and more immersive.

Unfortunately these won't last too long since at the end of the day it's just Michael Myers. Just gonna enjoy it as much as we can for the first 2 years or so before it dies down like Friday.

The devs behind KARMA: The Dark World is creating the single player campaign and cinematics. John Carpenter also prefers playing single player games.

Not saying you are wrong or anything, but the hosts of the show made it sound like it was actually the reverse to this. They said "online multiplayer elements" which kinda implies its not the main focus, but again, just speculating.

I've never heard the theme through headphones before, the start of that trailer was rough on the ears. Not sure how it will work if it's following the first film when we know the story and could end it easily if given any sort of freedom.

Gun and illfonic... No thanks. They tend to abandon their games after a year. They had a fantastic base game with texas chainsaw and they blew that one too. I promised myself to never buy a game from them ever again.

Friday the 13th was great. I'm not normally a multiplayer gamer, but I enjoyed the hell out of that game for a good while.

Halloween is the better IP and movie, but there's something about F13th series that makes them the most rewachable all these years later. Definitely my favourite 80s slasher series.
